Eyemouth G.C. Free of Charge! Get into Golf Group Coaching Sessions (Summer Dates)

Starting this week David Ord our E.G.C. Resident PGA Teaching Professional will be delivering FOC Get into Golf Group Coaching Sessions!

Yes You read that right!

Eyemouth Golf Club will be Offering Free of Charge Get into Golf Group Coaching Sessions!

The sessions will take place at Eyemouth Golf Club on the Dates & Times highlighted in the Poster below;-

There will be 1x group session for each of the separate groups each month over 3x months in July, August & September!

(That is 24x Free of Charge Get into Golf Coaching Sessions at Eyemouth Golf Club!)

The groups will be capped at 8x People within each group session!

This will allow David to analyse, coach & give the relevant teaching drills to each person within the group!

This is a fantastic way to try golf within a safe, controlled environment, whilst getting Professional Advice from a PGA Qualified Teaching Professional at absolutely No Cost!

If you are a complete beginner & you do not have your own golf clubs! Don’t worry as golf clubs will provided for you! Simply let David know this when you reserve your place in the group session that is relevant to you!

Each Group Coaching Session will be on a 1st come 1st served basis (Capped at 8x people per session!) So please be quick & get your place reserved ASAP! ⛳️

A Short Putting Routine I like to do to improve my confidence for holing short putts on the golf course.

Find a straight putt and have 6 balls in a line up to 3 putter lengths from the hole.
I have tees left of balls 1, 3, 5 and tees right of balls 2, 4, 6. This helps have the balls the right distance from the hole and putting along the channel of tees improves my Aim and my Start Line.

Starting with the shortest putt, roll each ball into the hole. If any miss, you must restart from the beginning.

Lovely day for the NE/NW PGA Heineken Dunstanburgh Classic.
Fantastic course in great condition, the greens are amazing and I enjoyed my game with Mathew and Lewis.

Fabulous score of 2 under by John Harrison and Bradley Rountree.

When Putting, Toe and Heel strikes will result in the Putt rolling a shorter distance and starting offline

Here's a simple practice exercise to encourage a more centred strike.
Turn 2 tees upside down and stand them just outside the toe and heel of the Putter head. Outdoors on the putting green, simply stick the tees in the green either side of the Putter head.
Then stroke the Putt.
If you strike a tee, you'll know what your tendency is. With a bit of practice you'll start centre striking your Putts and find distance and direction control will improve.
