After 28 years, the time has finally come for me to hang up my tools and retire.
It’s been an incredible journey. I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many like-minded cyclists over the years, and it’s been a real pleasure keeping the local community rolling and sharing the passion for 2 wheeled exploration, life and exercise.
As I step back to enjoy a well earned break and a bit more freedom, the shop will be closing. At the moment, there’s no buyer lined up for the business (though if anyone is interested, please do get in touch — the freehold will be available).
A closing down sale will begin on Tuesday, April 7th at 12pm. There will be a great selection of bikes, mostly 30% off RRP, plus a huge range of accessories at around half price. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. Come and grab a bargain!
Opening times: Mon, Tuesday, Thurs and Fri - 10am til 5pm.
I will continue to offer repairs and servicing for a little while, though I may not be able to take on as much work as before. I appreciate your patience during this transition, and eventually you’ll need to find an alternative workshop — something I say with a heavy heart, but it’s simply the reality of retiring.
For anyone with recently purchased bikes, all warranties remain fully valid with the manufacturers. Giant, Marin, and Focus will be able to direct you to the appropriate service centres should any warranty issues arise.
Thank you for your support over the years. It’s been an honour to serve this community, and I’ll always look back on these 28 years with pride and gratitude. Keep the biscuits coming for now, without them the wheels would have fallen off!
I would also like to thank all my previous members of staff over the years, some of whom spent a good proportion of their lives in that space. Thanks guys.
