Exmouth Swimming Club

Exmouth Swimming Club Founded 1893 & run by volunteers, helping people learn to swim & promote competitive swimming in the community.

Exmouth Swimming and Life Saving Society was founded in 1893. Lessons and Water polo were seasonally taught in Exmouth Docks until the Club moved to the salt water pool on Exmouth sea front. The Club moved to its current base at Exmouth Leisure Centre when the pool was built in 1985. We are run by dedicated volunteers who receive no payment in return for their services.

So proud of Niamh - our very own Regional qualifying breaststroker - who had the opportunity today to attend an AP Race Clinic at Plymouth Life Centre for swimmers aged between 8-17 from all over the South West. The day included land training, a phsychology session and then a breastroke masterclass, conducted by the triple Olympic gold medallist and world record holder himself.

PBs for everyone who swam this weekend well done Finn, Reece, Ralf, Rory, Alfie, Niamh, Liberty and Rosie.

Congratulations also to Alfie, Niamh, Ralf, Rory, Liberty and Rosie who are all County Finalists.

Finally special mentions to:

Liberty who won Bronze in the 100 Freestyle and Gold in the 100 Butterfly.

Rosie who won Bronze in the 100 Butterfly.

Rory who won Bronze in the 50 Breaststroke.

For anyone who would like to say goodbye to Jane Easton her funeral will be held on Monday 17th Feb at 2.00pm at Saint Swithuns Church, Woodbury.

Exmouth Swimming Club are very proud of of the team’s performance at Devon Counties yesterday.
Special mentions go to:
Niamh, who made the final for 100m breaststroke - achieving 2 PBs and qualifying for Regionals.
Liberty and Rosie both made the 200m fly final, coming 2nd and 4th and both achieving PBs too
