MEMBER'S NOTICE:
We know how passionately a lot of members feel about our club and just how important this vote is to its future. We are also aware of the numerous rumours and counter rumours that are going around.
Some of these rumours resulted in several members raising concerns with the Board about whether the 'ballot' box and the contents could be tampered with.
As a result, on Monday 10th November two Board Members checked and signed across the sealing tape on the first voting box and handed it to Simon Davidson at the club. He then delivered it to the adjudicator where it will remain secure until the votes are counted. Full signed and dated receipts for these transactions have been logged.
A second box was prepared, sealed with tape and the sealing tapes were signed by the two Board Members. This box will remain in place until the end of the voting on 2nd December.
We are doing our best to ensure that the vote is anonymous and the process and box are secure. However as a Community Amateur Sports Club we are not able to emulate the full rules and security that a local election would employ.
If you have not already, then do please vote - we believe that the steps we have taken are now making this process even more secure.
And finally, if you are a member and would like to be either a Director on a 'Transition Board' in the event of a majority 'yes' vote, or a Director of the club in the event of a majority 'no' vote then please email Laura at the above email address in the first instance. So far, no names of members have been received.
