There’s a brake hiding in here.
Every Advocate caliper starts as a solid piece of aluminium billet — then we machine away everything we don’t need.
Why billet?
It gives us far more control over the final shape, tolerances and material placement. We can keep strength and stiffness where it matters, remove weight where it doesn’t, and machine critical areas like the piston bores and mounting points with serious precision.
It also gives us more freedom with the design, rather than being limited by what’s easiest to cast.
Slower? Yes.
Cheaper? Definitely not.
Worth it? We think so.
From solid billet to four-piston brake, machined here in Devon.
