19th Exeter Sea Scouts 19th Exeter Sea Scouts provides Scouting and Water Activities to the youth of exeter since 1933.

As Sea Scout's, we are trained to be as much at home on the water as we are on land. We are taught nautical skills and seamanship in a range of craft. The age range we are able to accept are:
Beavers (6-8 years old)
Cubs (8-10.5 years old)
Scouts (10.5 -14 years old)

We also have a Sea Scout Explorer unit (14-18 years old) we are connected with that meet at our Headquaters.

General information

Sea Scouting is the branch of the scouting movement that specialises in water activities. Affiliated to the New HMS Defender, a type 45 Distroyer. Although most Scouts have the opportunity for boating activities, such as sailing and canoeing, the Sea Scout programme also incorporates many aspects of naval and nautical traditions. Sea Scouting is available to young people from the age of ten and half through Sea Scout troops and explorer Sea Scout Units. Cub scouts (aged 8 – 10 ½) also have the chance to start boating, particularly those within sea scout groups. The cub scout section has its own water activities badge
