💜 3 point kind of day 💜
After getting beat 6-1 in the opener, the Whips wanted to put that right, but unfortunately the afternoon didn’t start as planned.
With the gaffer failing to organise kit colours, the Whips had to don the very old school, but fetching, East Budleigh 90’s retro kit.
Game started very sluggish with the Whips on the back foot, with long ball after long ball and soon, A long ball from a free kick, in East Budleigh’s own half managed to float its way over keepers Sammy Hills head and in the net. 🙈
1-0 down starting the second half, the Whips finally found another couple of gears! Jack Pogbutt started the scoring with a ridiculous volley from the edge of the area, straight into top bins 👀 followed by a second half hat-trick from Captain Andrew Felton! 🧑✈️ and then of course Mr 2 in 2 Nathan Phillips (NOT Mr 2 in 2 Brandon Coles 🟨 ) scoring a great header at the back post to finish with a 5-1 victory!
Shout out to everyone on the pitch who put in a great performance! Sammy keeping us in the game, the back four who battled hard! The midfield and wingers 🙌🏼 and the bench players who helped see us over the line 👊🏼
