I like to keep myself to myself — even more so now.

I never really felt like I got much from networking events.

You walk into a room full of people you’ve sometimes got very little in common with.

The conversations feel forced, everyone’s trying to get something, and most of the time there’s no real outcome.

I’d leave thinking, “what did I actually get from that?”

And if you’re actually building something, you’ll know how rare it is to find people on the same wavelength.

It’s also backwards.

You could be doing everything right, but no one really takes you seriously unless you’ve already got a following.

Opportunities don’t come until you’re already “known”.

Everything’s spread across different platforms.

Feeds everywhere.

No real reason to go to any one place.

That’s exactly what’s wrong with it.

I wanted somewhere every business owner actually had a reason to go to.

So I built GrowthSync — just a better way to meet the right people, without the noise or wasting time.

6 months deep and 4 App Store submissions later, Android is now in testing.

It’s almost ready.

Class work here from my online client 👊🏼

He came to me wanting to put muscle on, told him it’d be better to get fat free first, which it is most of the time even if you don’t have tons of muscle to start with

Even took it upon himself to go to the Arnold’s and meet some of the biggest names in the fitness industry at the weekend

Getting inspiration from those around you is key if you want to attain any goal, whether in fitness or other areas

There’s a reason why they say you’re a product of the 5 people you surround yourself with

16kg of fat lost
Only 18 years old
Worked with another coach previously but couldn’t seem to get the same level of results

The goal now is to put as much size on his frame as we can to, gradual surplus over a long period of time will do it with short breaks and pull backs in between when appetite dips and to keep insulin sensitivity high

ONGOING TRANSFORMATION

Class work here from my client Kola 👏🏼

Kola has worked with me a few different times over the past 4–5 years, but this time around things have been completely different.

The biggest change has been his mindset.

Over the last 9 months he’s taken things seriously and stayed consistent with everything we’ve put in place.

He works shift patterns — days, nights, everything in between.

He’s also been on around 5 holidays during this phase. He’s still enjoyed himself, just kept things sensible and done bits where he could.

It just goes to show you can still get in shape and have a social life.

He’s stuck to the meal plan I gave him and trained 4 times per week consistently.

And he’s doing all of this in his 40s.

From the left photo to the right he’s dropped 16kg.

The results are speaking for themselves and he’s absolutely nailed this fat loss phase so far.

Still plenty more to come.

Another solid upper session in the bag 👊🏼

6 weeks to tidy up the physique before I go away

Currently 2kg down in the first week of the diet on 2400 cals and 10k steps a day

Should be a nice and easy one

Legs are in bits today

Strength is LOW compared to where it was a while ago but it was expected

Sessions have started to feel good again recently and strength is climbing back up slowly

Don’t do high volume as such but I prefer 3 sets over 2 on most movements, always found I responded a bit better to it and ended up with less injuries

With the state of my back and knees, going heavy on hip hinges and squats is a no go for now so having that extra set in there definitely helps as I can train with a bit less weight and equate the volume with the extra set

The goal at the moment is simply “to be in shape” and to enjoy doing it 👊🏼

Some clips from back today

Solid pump but get huge drop offs after every set due to food being where it is

If I want to stay in shape, food needs to be around 2700 cals per day

Any more than that and I’ll start piling on body fat

It’s not going up though as I want to be in relatively good condition year round 🤝

Another one from the photoshoot last month

This shoot marked a big change for me
It kept me accountable and got me back on track

I’ve dropped 17kg from my peak last year
And now the goal is simple

Stay in shape
Perform at my best
And actually enjoy training again

Right now I’m in a weird spot
Still figuring out what I want to do outside of lifting

When you make big changes, it’s easy to lose that sense of identity
But you’ll never find out what you’re truly capable of
If you don’t take the risk and try
