ECHO Junior Football League AGM – Award Presentation

Last night, at the ECHO Junior Football League AGM held at May & Baker Sports and Social Club, we felt incredibly proud and humbled to see the very first Lisa DiPalma Award presented to Wayne Freeman.

This prestigious new award was established by the League to honour Lisa’s memory and outstanding contribution to grassroots football , it was created to recognise exceptional commitment and dedication. Wayne received it specifically for his tireless work to keep Tigers JFC firmly on track to achieve accreditation for the 2025/26 season.

Since we sadly lost Lisa in August, Wayne has stepped up generously, giving up countless hours to prepare the club for last season with the pressure of stepping into very big shoes and doing so with great care and effort.

We believe this award could not have gone to a more deserving person. Thank you, Wayne from all of us, and from the many managers, coaches, parents and young players who are truly grateful for everything you did last season and beyond. Thank You Wayne you don’t know how much it means to us all.

🏆🏆🏆 A Night We Will Never Forget 🏆🏆🏆

What an incredible evening at the Essex FA Grassroots Football Awards.

We are immensely proud to have been named Provider of the Year for our Comets programme for the second time, and to have also won Provider of the Year for Just Play for the very first time. These awards are a reflection of the dedication, passion and hard work of everyone involved at Tigers JFC, both on and off the pitch.

The evening was made even more special as Keith, Danielle and Charlotte had the honour of collecting The Bobby Moore Award on behalf of our beloved Lisa Di Palma. Receiving a standing ovation was an emotional and heartwarming moment that perfectly reflected the impact Lisa had on so many people within grassroots football.

Lisa dedicated countless hours to creating opportunities, supporting families and ensuring football was accessible to everyone. This award is a fitting recognition of the legacy she leaves behind and the difference she made to so many lives.

As a club, we promise to continue making Lisa proud. We will keep building, growing and achieving the goals she always dreamed of for Tigers JFC, while keeping her values and passion at the heart of everything we do.

These awards belong to every player, coach, volunteer, parent and supporter who is part of our Tigers family. Thank you for being part of the journey. 💛🖤

We’re at the Essex FA Awards tonight celebrating an incredible evening of grassroots football.

Proud to share that we’ve been named Providers of the Year winners for our Comets and Just Play sessions — a brilliant recognition of the work, energy, and passion that goes into everything we do.

It’s also a really special and emotional moment remembering Lisa Di Palma, honoured through the Bobby Moore Award. A truly incredible legacy and a reminder of the impact she had on everyone around her.
