π Last Week's Final Little Leaders Session π
Last week, we brought another fantastic Little Leaders course to a close, and what a brilliant way to finish! π
Our Little Leaders took charge of the session and did an outstanding job, confidently leading activities, supporting their peers, and demonstrating the leadership skills they have worked so hard to develop over the past few months. ππ₯
As part of the final session, the students also took time to reflect on their journey through a written activity, considering questions such as "What have I learnt about myself?" and "How have I changed as a leader?" Their answers were incredibly thoughtful, with many recognising that they have become more confident, more resilient, better communicators and more willing to step outside of their comfort zones.
We were also delighted to welcome back former Little Leader and current CSJ, Digby, as our special guest speaker. Digby was part of our very first Little Leaders course in 2022 and has since progressed from Little Leader to Support Instructor and now Lead Instructor, where he regularly leads his own classes.
His message was both inspiring and relatable: with hard work, commitment and a willingness to learn, amazing opportunities can open up. For our students, seeing someone not much older than themselves who has followed the very same pathway made his journey even more meaningful.
The Little Leaders programme is about far more than martial arts. It's about developing confidence, communication, responsibility and self-belief. Last week's final session perfectly showcased just how much these young people have grown, not only as leaders, but as individuals.
We are incredibly proud of every student who has taken part in this course and can't wait to see where their leadership journey takes them next. πβ
