HealthySculpt Coaching I'm led by my experience and skill, and by your heart and head. I learn, improve and simplify, but I don't follow trends. Let's make the change

What makes me a good Personal Trainer? I follow my head and your heart - I don't follow trends. I have over 25 years experience in the exercise and fitness field. 30 years in running and cycling recreationally, athletics, bodybuilding, strength training, powerlifting, boxing, walking, muscular and tendon injury improvement and management, improving mobility and aches and pains and problems like sc

iatica, physique modelling, life coaching, fat loss, muscle gain, fitness gain, outdoor training, holistic well being, and teaching and qualifying personal trainers. I will help you reach your goals. I'm open to psychological aspects and spiritual aspects but I won't push them on anyone. No single aspect dominates my programmes. I'm a believer in rest and calm as part of the training programme, and I'm realistic about how you might accommodate that. I have "there is more than one way" mentality, and I regularly think outside of the box. I am available online for programmes, nutrition plans and other consultation too. My venues include a choice of 3 gyms in Surrey and Hants, public spaces, at your home, mine, to suit.

Vegan or mostly vegetarian diets make a large number of the population Ill. For me, there is no getting round that. And what I have is very common. And this idea that vegetarianism is healthier in general compared to other controlled healthy diets / lifestyles is nonsense.

Yes, for a lot of people veganism it's a lot healthier than eating what the heck they want. And they become healthier on it. Some people become very healthy and very active, in fact. But to ignore individual differences and stages of life is crazy. And to make up stories (more grains, more vegetables = healthy heart) based in a public domain of other stories (red meat rots in the intestine and is indigestible) over the years is just insane. We're better than that.

The media just love a simple story. If they could get away with telling us that this country would be a lot richer if it didn't rain at all in 2020, they would. Because rain is bad and sun is good.

There are ways to campaign for animal welfare without going vegan - but going vegan is one way that works for some people and I applaud the active, fit, kind, fun healthy ones. Is animal farming destroying the planet? - or are greed (in both senses of the word) and stupidity playing their parts too?

This critique (below) tears apart the ridiculous 'scientific' recommendation that 'we' try to eat no more than one seventh of an egg and one fifth of a chicken breast a day. It's made up. Sponsored by people who make money out of products revolving around very high vegetable diets.

Should every day be Meatless Monday?

Adam Cornwell's answer: Weight training works the heart and lungs massively, but it’s not what is meant by the (jargon) term “cardio”. Squats and lunges and leg presses are the best for weight loss. The glute is the biggest muscle group in the body with most people. Therefore it will burn the ...

Another nice review. This time from Olivia Slee, Stunt Performer. "Highly recommended - I came to Adam wanting to lose a bit of weight and tone up towards the end of my training to become a stunt performer. I also wanted more upper body strength.
That was in March and since then I have lost 2 inches off my stomach, 1 off each thigh and each arm and look more toned. He doesn't just concentrate on the working out, he takes your whole lifestyle into account and understands that life can sometimes get in the way and he gives advice on how to get the best outcome around a busy lifestyle.
He puts a lot of effort into every client, tailoring the fitness programme to each individual's needs. I would definitely recommend to anyone, in fact my brother is starting a programme with him next month!"

My clients enjoy my flexible options. For example, instead of standing over you in the same gym week in week out, after consultation you'll see me every 2-6 weeks for focussed coaching, and in the meantime get updates, diets and consultations by phone, e mail and Skype. It's often far more economical, 'doable' and it gets results.

Dave Draper is a little known person in the fitness world nowadays and he's 72, but his poetic blogs are refreshing. Lately he has talked about staying in shape through the holiday season to avoid undue misery in the bleakest months to follow..... good on him!! :) ..... ".... A good workout chases away the blues and puts a sweet song in the heart.......Smart eating prevents disorder in life and a bulge in the the butt and belly."
