Words might get a bit muddled but give us a beat and she’s off! There’s no stopping her💃🏻

Moving in opposite directions to the same rhythm & moving to the music instinctively.

Music activates coordination and motor skills
but more than that, it regulates the nervous system.

It brings us into the body, into the movement and into joy ✨

Rhythm doesn’t disappear.
The body remembers, which is why it is so powerful as it holds so much magic. 💃✨

Working with these legends never ceases to amaze me. Seeing them remember lyrics, singing to songs they know and love, and have danced to on their own or with loved ones throughout their lives. Seeing the smiles on their faces as they move madness my heart sing❤️✨

This is Jackie and she loves to dance! 💃🏻 When she’s in her chair her feet are always moving and when she’s up she never misses the beat. Whatever the tempo or track she just moves with it, it’s a beautiful thing to see and I love getting her out of her chair for a boogie.

Music activates multiple areas of the brain, including those linked to movement, emotion, and long-term memory, the pathways that are often preserved in people living with dementia.

That’s why familiar music and rhythm can regulate the nervous system, support movement, and spark connection, even when memory and words are affected.

This is simply magic ❤️✨🎶

It was our Xmas party this afternoon Corrina Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare and what an afternoon we had! They all think I’m as mad as a box of frogs and they wouldn’t be wrong to be fair! I love to have as much fun as possible and to put as many smiles on as many faces as I possibly can as we sing, dance and be merry! This was a great end to a fabulous year with these rock stars and I cannot wait to come back for more in 2026.

I feel honoured to spend time with these absolute legends dancing and singing and more importantly laughing!

Dementia is a cruel condition & if you have ever seen a loved one affected by it, you will know only too well. I am not here just to get these guys moving but I try my hardest to engage, have a laugh, be cheeky, make it as fun for them as possible. They have all led normal lives, they have incredible stories that some can tell if just given the time, even if some it most of it or makes no sense. I give everything I have, because I have it to give.

Anyone that knows me knows I LOVE a giggle and have a quick witted cheeky sense of humour, as does Colin!

Having this connection and banter with these superstars makes their day, even for a moment and for me, well, this is why I do it. Every session is different depending on how they are but when it’s like this, it is just pure magic✨❤️ It just fills my heart with joy and makes me realise what a difference these sessions make, to not just them, but to me also ❤️🙌🙏🎶

Dance while you can❤️💃🏻 Margaret absolutely loves to dance and there is no stopping her, even if it’s just for one track out of the chair, she’s up!

I have been visiting these legends for over 3 years now and every session is filled with laughter, fun, movement and joy which fills my heart and leaves me looking forward to our next session!

These lot LOVE a party and when they want to dance there is no stopping them!
Margaret loves to get up and have a boogie and just look at her go! I love these sessions so much with these legends. Seeing the joy and happiness that music brings is just magical.
