Loved this discussion on This Morning today about quirky careers 👏.
So inspiring to hear from people who stepped away from conventional paths and chose to lean into their unique talents or spotted a gap in the market and ran with it.
It’s a great reminder that there isn’t just one “right” way to build a career. Sometimes the most fulfilling paths are the ones that don’t look traditional at all.
Here’s to taking chances, trusting your instincts, and creating a life that actually feels good ✨

Before you make any kind of career change, pause.

Get clear on what’s really driving the change. Better work/life balance? Being more present for loved ones? Need for fulfilment? Realignment with the life you desire?

Clarity starts with self-reflection and with stepping back to look at the bigger picture of your life, not just your job.

The right next step becomes obvious when you understand the real why.
If you would like to explore a potential change in more detail, I offer a complimentary 30-minute Discovery session.

Please feel free to get in touch at [email protected] to arrange a time.

✨ New year. Before new goals — pause.

If you’re at a crossroads, clarity doesn’t come from rushing.
It comes from reflection.

Try this today:
✍️ Write down:

What’s draining you at work

What energises you

What you don’t want to repeat this year

You don’t need the answer yet — you just need honesty.

What’s the worst that can happen!! This is what I’ve been asking myself lately.
I’ve realised perfectionism has been holding me back from creating videos on Instagram.
Waiting for the “right moment,” the perfect script, for my cheeks to look less chubby 🙄… and in the meantime, valuable messages stay stuck in my head instead of reaching the people who need them.
So here’s to embracing the imperfect and hitting record anyway. 🎥✨
Progress over perfection, always.

For those of us who need a reminder today!

Whatever’s on your plate, meet it with presence, not pressure.
You’re capable of more than you realise 💥

Please tag any friends and colleagues who you think might also need this reminder!

This week has been extremely energising. Connecting with Primary School Headteachers who are passionate about developing the whole child….not just focused on academics. Working with the framework to bring self-leadership and develop agency in primary and secondary school children.

⚠️ Another AI red flag!
Many of the jobs most exposed to automation are disproportionately held by women — putting them at greater risk of displacement and disruption.

If we don’t act now, the gender gap in the workplace could widen even further.
The future of work with AI must be inclusive, fair, and designed for equity.

💭 Here’s a reflection for you…

If the education system allowed space for a focus on students leading themselves, setting goals, and building confidence what could that lead to? Imagine the difference if self-leadership was treated as essential as maths or English. Wouldn’t that transform not only classrooms, but future workplaces and communities too?

This quote from Stephen Covey really has got my attention today. Too often we look for similarities in others—because it feels safe, validating, or familiar. However, when we do, we lose the power of difference. Diverse perspectives challenge us, stretch our thinking, and spark new ideas. As Stephen Covey said: “If two people have the same opinion, one is unnecessary.” True growth comes not from agreement, but from the richness of different viewpoints. So if someone challenges your perspective today, embrace it and see where it leads to.

✨ This caught my attention today! Lyndsey, the founder of a silent disco outdoor exercise group in Hartlepool, started her venture as a side passion project to support mental health. 💚
Fast forward and it’s grown so big she’s left her job to run it full time!
Way to go, Lyndsey 👏 This is what it looks like to turn passion into purpose and make it happen!
