Massive congratulations to Eby Eldho for topping the Durham Bowling Honours Board this week with an outstanding 7 wickets for just 18 runs 🔥🏏

To be ranked number 1 in Durham is a great achievement and a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and talent Eby brings to the game.

Performances like this don’t happen by chance, they come from commitment, passion, and the relentless effort that Eby puts in.

Last Sunday over the bank holiday, our juniors had the fantastic opportunity to take part in the guard of honour at Durham Cricket’s home T20 opener against Leicestershire Foxes.

A brilliant experience for all involved, walking out in front of a great crowd and being part of such a big occasion is something they’ll all remember for a long time!

Our juniors had a great time, and the result wasn’t too bad either 👀👏

A big thank you to everyone involved from our club, and to Durham Cricket for organising and making it such a special day for the kids.

Great to see our young players representing the club so well both on and off the field 💙💛

We’re just days away from the start of our All Stars Cricket programme at Langley Park & Bearpark CC, and there are still a few places left!

All Stars Cricket is the perfect introduction to the game for children aged 5–8, with 8 weeks of fun, activity and skills development in a safe, friendly environment.

Saturday 16th May 🏏

Our 1st XI make the trip to Bill Quay CC, looking to go one better after a close game against Evenwood last time out, and are chasing their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, the 2nd XI host our neighbours Ushaw Moor CC, also aiming to get their campaign off the mark, it should be a great contest, so get yourselves down to support!

Both games get underway at 13:30 ⏰

We’re really disappointed to report that our new batting cage net has been deliberately cut.

This is a brand new piece of equipment that was only recently installed after a significant amount of fundraising and support from across the club and local community. It represents a major investment in improving facilities for all our players, including our junior teams, and it’s very disheartening to see it damaged so soon after installation.

We’d also ask parents and guardians in the local area to please speak with children about respecting club facilities and private property. These are community assets that rely heavily on fundraising and volunteer effort, and damage like this has a real impact on what we can offer.

We’re now faced with unexpected repair costs that will directly affect club funds.

If anyone has any information about this incident, please get in touch with the club or message the page directly.

As always, we really appreciate the continued support of everyone who helps keep the club going.

Our 1st XI head to Mainsforth for their opening DNECL Division 2 fixture, following last season’s Division 3 title-winning campaign 👏

Unfortunately, there’s no game for the 2nd XI this week, they’ll have to wait until next weekend to get underway against Burnhope.
