WHAT A DAY YESTERDAY AT BANKS HOMES RIVERSIDE for the first ever tournament for our newly formed LPBCC Ladies Team!

37 women’s teams came together for MEGAFEST 2026, and what an incredible sight it was! A huge thank you to Durham Cricket Foundation for putting on such a fantastic event for the third year running. 💙

Our ladies represented the club brilliantly in their first ever tournament:

🏏 5 games
✅ 3 wins
❌ 1 loss
🤝 1 tie

Most importantly, they had a brilliant time, enjoyed themselves and showed exactly what softball cricket is all about! Fun, friendship and getting more women involved in cricket.

A massive thank you to Jamie Winn and Dave Gladstone for all the time and effort they put into Thursday evening training and creating opportunities for our ladies. 👏

🏆 A massive congratulations to Ryan Daughtery and Harry Coult on their well, deserved recognition at the Cricket Collective Awards 2026! 👏💙

We’re incredibly proud to see both recognised for the time, effort and commitment they both put into Langley Park & Bearpark Cricket Club.

🏆 Harry Coult – Young Volunteer Award
🏆 Ryan Daughtery – Young Committee Member Award

Both have been part of the club from such a young age and continue to give so much back, whether that’s supporting our junior sections, helping at training and events, or contributing behind the scenes to help the club continue to grow.

These awards are fantastic recognition of everything they do for the club, and we’re incredibly lucky to have them both involved.

Both Ryan and Harry have been part of the club from such a young age and have given so much of their time, energy and commitment to the club over the years.

It’s fantastic to see their hard work and contribution recognised, and we’re incredibly proud to see them both shortlisted.

🏏 WHAT A WEEK IT COULD BE FOR THE PARK! 🏆

Well, this week could be a pretty special one for Langley Park & Bearpark CC…

Three trophies are set to be decided, and our teams have a hand in all three! 👀

Our U17s finished their league campaign last week with a fantastic win over Hunwick, meaning they have now done all they can. We’re left with a nervous wait for tomorrow’s results, but should the results go our way in the Evenwood and Hunwick games, our U17s will be crowned League Champions! 🤞

Then there’s our Midweek team, who currently sit top of the DNECL Midweek Durham Division. It’s all in their own hands, and a win against Tudhoe on Thursday would see the lads crowned Champions. What an achievement that would be, especially when you consider the team was only formed last year with the aim of giving our juniors a pathway into senior cricket. 👏

And finally, our 2nd XI head to Ushaw Moor this Sunday for the Amos Lowing Wilson Cup Finals Day. The lads face Medomsley 1st XI in the first semi-final at 10:00am, with the winners going on to face either Evenwood or Tantobie in the final at 4:30pm.

Three teams. Three competitions. Three trophies up for grabs. 🏆🏆🏆

It’s not often you get a week like this in the calendar, particularly for a club that has been through so much over the last few years. It’s a real testament to how far the club has come and the hard work that has gone on behind the scenes, both on and off the field.

Whatever happens this week, everyone involved should be incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved.

But now… let’s see if we can make it a week to remember! 💙

💙 Supporting One of Our Own, Good Luck, Harry!

This September, on of our U17s players Harry Coult will be taking on the Great North Run to raise money for Young Epilepsy, a charity that is very close to his heart.

Harry is much more than just one of our players. He regularly volunteers his time to help coach our younger age groups, assists with our All Stars programme, and is always happy to umpire whenever he’s asked. He is a fantastic role model for our junior members and a real credit to our club.

He’s been training hard for the challenge, and we’d love to get behind him. If you’re able to make a donation, no matter how big or small, it would be greatly appreciated and will help support a fantastic cause.
