That first Zumba class can feel overwhelming. The music is fast, the moves feel unfamiliar, and it might seem like everyone else already knows what they’re doing. You might leave thinking, “I’m not coordinated enough,” “I’m behind,” or “Maybe this just isn’t for me.”

But here’s the truth: no one feels confident after just one class. It takes about 6–12 sessions for your body and brain to catch on. That’s when the fun really starts. That’s when the confidence shows up. That’s when you stop thinking and start dancing. 💃✨

One class doesn’t define you. One class is just the introduction.
Growth happens when you come back even when it feels uncomfortable at first.🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

👉 You don’t have to be perfect.
👉 You just have to be willing to try again.

Eleven years ago today I followed my absolute dream ,something so far out of my comfort zone it wastnt true.
And did my Zumba Instructor training.
For some people that would be nothing they wouldn’t be phased at all but I never had any confidence and never felt I was good enough or good at anything so for me it was HUGE .
I almost ran for the hills before I had even begun it was only the thought that I would be a definite failure and prove myself right that I wastn’t good enough and I didn’t deserve to do it that made me stay.
So I did and I DID it and I achieved what I had dreamt about doing.
Then the panic set in when I started leading my own classes hahah I was a total wreck I felt physically sick all day before I went to the venue.
I was terrified of making mistakes and embarrassing myself,terrified of the people who came incase they hated me self doubt overtook the enjoyment I should have had and I was my worse critic I thought about quitting and was convinced it was best all round to do so.
But still I went on and eventually I relaxed and started to enjoy it and have fun with the lovely people who came week after week and the nerves started to lessen I stopped worrying about mistakes I made and laughed about them instead. (WHICH IS JUST AS WELL COS I AM THE QUEEN OF C…UPs )
So what I am trying to say is when anyone steps out of their comfort zone which lots of you are when you start to come to class I’ve been there and done it and I know how you feel more than you would guess .
Dancing sober and in front of people is daunting to most people.
But at the end of the day you are bossing it !!
You are doing something you love FOR YOU!!
And when I see people coming in so shy and hiding at the back and dancing so self consciously then I see them gain confidence more and more to the point of getting on that stage and owning it or even staying in their own space(and we all know how you love your own space) and dancing their socks off it makes my heart swell with pride and I know I have helped them on their way to being more confident and liking who they are that’s my job done I could never ask for any more .
And lastly but most importantly I want to thank each and every one of you for helping me too for making me gain confidence,for your loyalty,for your friendship for being YOU all of the people who I have met and hope to meet in the future THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU HUGE HUGS I APPRECIATE YOU MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW ######😘❤️🙏🙏
