Away vs Hampton Wick Royals 2nd XI
Lost by 3 wickets
Ewell won the toss and chose to bat. A steady 59 from Irfan Ahmed and 35 from Sikandar Naqvi before a late regular fall of wickets saw Ewell score 186 all out. Hampton Wick slowly pushed their way to the score, despite some quality bowling which saw the Royals struggle to score quickly, but a 68 partnership for the 7th wicket saw Hampton Wick hit the target with 10 balls to spare. Khurram Naseer the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 37 off 10 overs, while I should shout out Adil Tahir, whose left arm bowling was superb and was most unlucky not to get a wicket, despite testing the edge of the batters very regularly.

Well, if thereโs a one man team award, then it goes to Maori Oxshott. Winning the toss and choosing to bat, it became obvious why. Their opening bat scored 157 off 98 balls with 22 fours and 7 sixes. One player scored 30 and everyone else scored under 15, with 7 scoring single figures. Aneeq Khan took 4 for 23 off 9 overs, which was very respectable. Oxshott totalled 263 for 9 off 45 overs.
