Not often I stock mid June but with the cool water/weather conditions got an unusual drop of beautiful coloured high percentage of male rainbows in this mix. Big kypes and hefty shoulders on some ! Rare to see now and averaging 4lb but ranged 3 to 6lbs so get out and catch some . Remember all tigers and browns to release and barbless only . See you soon hopefully, remember if tench, perch, Rudd and crucian lake open also.

Another mixed bag of weekends fishing😂weird weather ,rain sun hot n cold ..tigers very busy in morning then not in afternoons.. today a couple of members in for evening tickets both had a rainbow for the pot and a brown released ,all days chalk and cheese as of late, buzzers buzzers and on fry. Tench, crucian Rudd & perch lake open.

New member Mathew joined and here he is with 1 of his 2 rainbows of similar stamp on a super tough bright still day on dry fly blue dry damsel. Then new member Frank yesterday had tigers to tempt on buzzers, plus a few from his most recent visit brown , sparctics & tigers in all colours. Rainbow restock next week for summer fresh fish for all to enjoy👍Get booked in or do what they did and join membership to support us to support you. Good bit of rain last night , hopefully a bit more be nice..

Rainbows on black buzzers for Chris yesterday who lost a lot more than he landed day before for our casting instructor John all tigers released were on dries . Day to day different fishing as usual here - mix it up! Get booked in if fancy some of this restock rainbow drop next week also..

Some spot on fishing for most who get it right with the right buzzer at the right depth on the right retrieve- or dries! Real fishing for overwintered fish like all sparctics being caught as well as lots of tigers / browns released. Rainbows have been deeper down and more finicky at times. Restock next week with the summer stocking ! Get booked in if fancy some . Lots going on and water still very cold due to the cold winds and nights, more rain to settle pressure.Water crystal clear as per normal here and sight fishing great on the right day .

All the rainbows all on dries mayfly and blue dry damsel even when no rising visibly due to cold wind these will come up for the right dry so give it a try even if not much to see! Plenty of browns and tigers to release some on dries most of tigers on lures and fry patterns at differing depths.But some fantastic fishing for all out, get outside and support your local as we all really need it in this climate! Other diversification is happening here so keep eyes peeled!

One lake ,The Trenches is now dedicated to these now specimen sized tench to 10lb, perch maybe up to 4 lb now , potential record Rudd plus crucian to 2/3 lb .
Join the membership for full access and longer hours fishing time or can be booked/payed online if an occasional visit but that’s 9 to 5 opening hours for non members.
Be interesting to see what’s caught this summer as biggest tench batch was 8lb over 3 years ago as well as the perch same time both have bred well from the start and grown. Rudd were already there…
Can be of course be fished the fly as well as bait for all these fish or for the leftover brown trout on the catch and release supplement ..

Today my friend Paul with his son Jack came down for a few hours fishing with his new pole , Rudd and perch a chuck then I had a couple of flicks deeper set float plus bigger bait and I landed this one . This summer going to be great to see what’s to come.This lake now open for specimen Tench , Perch ,Rudd & Crucian.
Been a while for me to accept and move this lake away from trout but it’s started - get booked in /join the membership ..

A quieter week but still great fishing Our instructor John had a short session of releases rainbows to 4lb a couple of browns and a bigger one lost, Serghi had a couple of nice bows for the pot released a couple of browns and lost 2 big fish snapping him which happened to him last week😂Keith had 7 tigers a big brown and lost all his rainbows ! Water still cold oxygen high and fish are fast! Get booked in if want some great dry action plus buzzers and snakes for Keith..
