Another great day at the TAGB British championships yesterday for Epping TKD.
3x Bronze
3x Silver
1x Gold
8x Fantastic Students giving it 100%

Epping has a World champion.

On Sunday the 19th of June, Epping TKD sent 5 Students to the Taekwondo World Championships in Scotland. With 1750 competing students from 20 counties.
Taekwondo is a great martial art for all abilities and ages. Competing was Paul Beard, Jamie, Felix, Chester and Farrah Borg.
Paul Won Gold in the men’s yellow belt lightweight sparring, making him a world champion and also added a bronze in the team sparring event.
Felix Borg is now a World silver medallist just missing out on gold in the boys’ team sparring. Jamie performed a great pattern in the men’s green belt division but missed out by fractions of a point to medal. Chester and Farrah also come very close to medals in their patterns, but it was not their day. Felix, Farrah and Chester also performed an excellent team pattern in synchronisation but just missed out, they are still the current English TAGB champions.
TAGB Instructor Mike Barford said, I am so proud of all my students and to compete in a world championship is something they will also remember. We are a small club of a mix of students all working together on the art. But to have a world Champion is always going to be a great mark of the club, Paul always gives it 100% and he deserved it.
Training in Thornwood Village Hall Tuesdays and Sundays, everyone from ages 8 and above is welcome to come give it a go. You don’t need to be amazing to start, but you need to start to become amazing.

You don't need to be amazing to start, but you need to start to have a chance of being amazing. Any fitness welcome. just come give it a go, its not like the films or TV.
