That’s a wrap on Spa! The BEST weekend, basically a hiking weekend with some beers and a bunch of fast cars thrown in (averaged 8-10 miles of walking each day 😂)

Packed up from the campsite this morning and headed on to our next destination. Any guesses where it is?

………leaving Zagora, to get to the Todra and Dades Gorges, we had to scale the Tizi n Tazazert Pass about 7500ft and a steep climb across the Atlas mountains.. The temperature in the middle of the day was about 35C. To be on the safe side we stopped to let Lara cool down with the bonnet open. Most people stopped as they passed to make sure we were ok - typical of Morocco. A man on a moped chugged up the mountain with his two children, returning from school. Of course they stopped for a welcome and a chat. A few sweets later, we were the best of friends!

In the battle of the Gorges, we much preferred the less touristy Dades Gorge - although both were amazing higher up the remote valleys.
Some repair work was being completed on the low roadside walls of the Dades Gorge - it looked as if vehicles had hit the walls in various places and even gone over the edge. Can find no evidence of this on the web!

We stayed in a small ‘eco’ campsite further up the valley from the famous hairpins. Very restful and peaceful.
Time enough for an evening walk before a specially prepared tagine.
