📸 ……one of our favourite stopovers was at Camping Tissert in the Meski valley. Surrounded by the beautiful palm trees near the Meski River - we could have stayed there alot longer. An evening walk through the date palms to the village told another story. Fire had raged through the palms on quite a few occasions. The badly burnt palms come back to life relatively quickly with signs of new growth. But between the palms the villagers plant crops such as wheat,barley and many differing herbs. I assume after the fire some lost all their crops endangering their livelyhoods.

A Vegetable Tagine greeted our return to the campsite cooked by our host. As the only campers there that night we had the site all to ourselves.

Just two pals hanging out 🤎🐾

Honestly couldn’t recommend a roof tent enough, we admittedly jumped straight in with absolutely no experience of using one and took it on a trip around Europe 😂

But (luckily) it’s been great, making every adventure easier with such a quick set up, it’s been sturdy with a weeks worth of rain & wind, cool in the hotter weather and most of all gives us the most amazing views ⛰️

So if you’re considering on getting one, go for it!
