Six months from now you will either be grateful you started today.

Or wishing you had.

The time is going to pass either way.

The only question is who you are when it does.

A parent with more energy. Stronger. Lighter. Showing up differently for your kids.

Or the same person you are right now still thinking about it.

Six months is not a long time.

But it is long enough to completely change how you feel in yourself.

Long enough to get your energy back.
Long enough to feel strong again.
Long enough to look in the mirror and recognise the person looking back.

It starts with one decision.

Not Monday.
Today.

Week 1 of my personal challenge.

Here’s the honest truth.

I’m 40 years old. Dad of two sets of twins. Running a business. And I’ve just publicly committed to getting back into the shape I was in my 20s using the exact same VITAL Framework I give every single one of my clients.

No special treatment. No shortcuts. Same plan. Same rules.

Here’s how week one actually went.

✅ Sessions — 2 out of 3. Not perfect. Done.
✅ Steps — 10,000+ for 6 out of 7 days.
✅ Calories tracked — every single day. Not perfectly. But tracked.
✅ Weight — 86kg down to 84.2kg.
✅ Energy — genuinely brilliant all week.

Was it a perfect week? No.
Did I miss a session? Yes.
Were the calories perfect every day? No.

And yet

Nearly 2kg down. Energy up. Momentum building.

You don’t need a perfect week to make progress.
You need a consistent enough week.

80% done beats 100% planned every single time.

A lot of that 1.8kg will be water weight and I know that. I’m not celebrating a number. I’m celebrating the fact that I showed up for 7 days, built the habit back, and feel better than I did this time last week.

That’s week one.

Week two same again. Just 1% better across the board.
Not a new plan. Not a dramatic overhaul.

Just the same simple system done slightly better than last week.

That’s how this works. That’s how it always works.
I’ll be updating you every single week in here the wins, the hard days, all of it. No filter.

Because if this framework works for a 40 year old dad of two sets of twins with a business to run and a life that never slows down

It will work for you too.

Have you ever driven somewhere and arrived with almost no memory of the journey?

No memory of the roundabouts.
No memory of the turns.
No memory of half the things you passed.

You just arrived.
Because you weren’t really driving.

You were on autopilot.
Your brain had done that route so many times it didn’t need you to think anymore. It just took over.

Bloody scary thought!

Your habits work exactly the same way.

The biscuit you grab without thinking.
The takeaway you order because it’s Friday and that’s just what Fridays are.

The workout you skip because skipping has become the route your brain knows best.

The portion size you’ve eaten a thousand times without ever once measuring it.

None of it is a decision anymore.
It’s autopilot.

And the problem with autopilot is this

You can’t change a route you’re not even aware you’re driving.

The first step in changing anything isn’t motivation.
It’s awareness.

Noticing the autopilot before you can take back the wheel.

So today I want you to do one thing.
Just notice.

Notice the moment you reach for something without thinking. Notice the excuse that shows up automatically.

Notice the route you’ve been driving without ever choosing it.

You don’t have to change it today.
Just see it.

Because once you see it
You’re back in the driver’s seat.
