⚠️ IMPORTANT — PLEASE KEEP THE GATE CLOSED AT SCHOOLS, INNISHMORE ⚠️
Anglers, we need your help on this one. 🙏
We've been made aware that the gate at the Schools section in Innishmore has been repeatedly propped/wedged open. As a result, the landowner's cattle have got out and mixed with the neighbour's stock on more than one occasion. 🐄
This is causing real problems for the farmer, and understandably he's not happy. If it keeps happening, we're at risk of losing easy access here — the landowner has warned he may lock the gate completely or put a stile back in, which would be a nightmare for anyone bringing a trolley down. 🎣🛒
Please — every time you go through, make sure the gate is closed firmly behind you. The spring on the gate is being replaced so it swings shut on its own, but it's on all of us to do our bit.
We're lucky to have the access we do, and keeping good relations with landowners is what protects it for everyone. Let's look after it. 👍
