The second workout of Hero Week brought a very different challenge with Adrian.

This one is less about pure intensity and more about control, pacing, and some gymnastics skills that do not always get the spotlight in regular classes.

A great reminder that fitness is not just about going fast, but also about moving well!

A really strong effort from everyone who took it on and great to see athletes stepping outside their comfort zones with some less familiar skills.

Murph is coming this Saturday, and whether this is your first attempt or your fifth, there will be an option for you.

Even our toughest workouts can be adapted to suit every level; you can scale the volume, adjust the movements, and partition it how you like.

The goal is to take on the challenge in a way that matches your current ability and fitness.

Murph is more than just a workout. It is one of the most recognised Hero workouts in CrossFit and a chance for the community to come together, embrace discomfort, and push through something difficult side by side.

And once the hard work is done, we will be heading over to the Cambridge Beer Festival afterwards for a well earned social and a chance to celebrate together.

There’s still a few spaces left so get booked in, and get ready for a big Saturday at APG.

This Saturday β€˜Hero Week’ is coming to APG Fitness.

A full week dedicated to Hero workouts that will test your endurance, resilience, and effort across a wide range of movements and time domains.

There will be challenging sessions, team efforts, longer endurance pieces to heavy barbell work. The week is designed to push athletes while still remaining accessible and scalable for all levels.

The focus throughout the week is simple; embrace the challenge and remember that we are in a privileged position to be able to do these workouts in the first place.

The week starts on Saturday 23/05 with Murph and will culminate with our β€œEverest for Alex” challenge on Saturday, where a team of 18 will attempt to climb the height of Everest on the rope in support of Alex and his ongoing recovery.

It’s a huge week of fitness, community, and shared effort ahead. Get involved, support each other, and be part of it.

A huge effort from everyone who took on the ACID Athletics challenge this weekend!

A fast workout, plenty of intensity, and a proper test of how hard people were willing to push. Simple on paper, much less simple on those last 10 calories or so!

We love putting these sessions on; seeing people push outside of their comfort zone and willing to do anything for free merch.

Thanks to RAD as well for giving us these opportunities to give back to the community that makes APG so special. Stay tuned for the lucky draw soon!

Master the ascent (and descent) at our upcoming technical workshop, where the focus is entirely on learning and refining your rope climb.

We’ll be breaking down the footwork and grip mechanics of the J-hook to ensure you’re moving with maximum speed and minimum wasted energy.

This session is essential preparation for our upcoming fundraiser; π—˜π˜ƒπ—²π—Ώπ—²π˜€π˜ 𝗳𝗼𝗿 π—”π—Ήπ—²π˜…. Where we have a dedicated team of 18 athletes aiming to collectively climb the vertical height of Mount Everest (all 8,848 metres of it) on a single rope in 12 hours!

Strength training at APG Fitness doesn’t just mean barbell work.

Sandbags, carries, kettlebells, and awkward objects all challenge the body in different ways and build a broader base of strength and fitness. It can be demanding, effective, and a great way to build resilience that transfers outside the gym as well.

It also keeps training fresh. Variation is a huge part of what makes classes engaging at APG. Different movements, different challenges, and different ways to push yourself while still following structured programming.

We are excited to welcome .comer to the coaching team at APG Fitness. Toby will be covering Thursday evenings and some additional cover sessions before launching his own gym .fen.pack soon!

With over 12 years of coaching experience, Toby brings a huge amount of knowledge and time on the gym floor. After being introduced to CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting, he quickly fell in love with both the training methodology and the strong community that comes with it.

He has now spent the last four years coaching CrossFit, helping athletes improve their movement, fitness, and confidence across all levels.

Be sure to say hello when you see him coaching classes over the next few weeks.

Another brilliant day on the competition floor for the APG crew, this time taking on the Masters and Everyday divisions at .wars

From first timers to experienced competitors, everyone did themselves and the gym proud. Yet again it was the community that showed itself as the strongest component of who we are and what we represent.

Massive thank you to everyone who travelled down over the weekend to cheer, help, and create the atmosphere, those loud cheers genuinely make a difference.

A really strong weekend for APG Fitness and a reminder of how far this community continues to grow.

Huge shoutout to the APG member who took on the .wars Arena individual competition today in both the Intermediate and RX divisions.

Competition days demands something different from you and competing solo gives and added pressure, nerves, and challenge.

Every single one of them stepped up, pushed themselves, and represented the gym brilliantly.

Thanks as always to everyone who came to support, cheer, and help throughout the day. That support matters more than people realise.

Strong performances, strong community, and another great day for APG Fitness! 🩡🩡🩡
