***Freelancer required for morning stables***

Elmore, GL2 area

Weekday mornings with flexibility for the occasional afternoon / weekend shift an advantage.

Sole charge, 6 horses - all warmbloods and generally very well behaved but you must be capable handling young, big (18hh) and occasionally exuberant horses.

All usual yard work (mucking out, turning out / bringing in, feeding, making haynets, etc).
No riding required.

Please get in touch and PM us if interested - open to splitting role between 2 people, no need to be able to do every weekday but you must be regularly able to do the weekdays you put yourself forward for 😀

On-site accommodation and DIY livery may also be available separately.

Find Your Harmony:
A unique clinic for horse & rider
at Hollow Farm Equestrian, Gloucester.
Happening across two days: 22 - 23 August 2026.
Many clinics focus on either the horse or the rider—but true harmony happens when you work together.
The Harmony Clinic blends expertise in groundwork, seat work, connection, and balance to help you
and your horse move as one, no matter your level of riding experience.

Led by Marion Voss (The Gentle Touch) and Clara Zawawi (Six Lessons& Pilates) make up the Harmony duo - professional coaches and riding instructors driven by the belief that a grounded and balanced person is necessary for a healthy and balanced horse!

Clara works with their clients on the ground identifying and correcting imbalances using techniques of Pilates and qi gong and Marion uses her experience in working equitation to work with clients in the saddle to harmonise the partnership with their horse.

The Harmony Clinic is available for either humans only (Saturday afternoon) or humans and horses (Sunday afternoon in addition)

Saturday’s session will help improve your riding by identifying your minor physical imbalances and habits – the things that your horse needs to compensate for – and learn techniques you can use immediately to correct them.

Sunday’s session with your horse uses the principles of working equitation to show you exactly how to use what you’ve learned in the saddle.

📅 Day One (3PM – 5PM) – Humans Only 🧘‍♀️ £50 Workshop with Clara Zawawi

Identify the imbalances in your own body – left to right, posture, head carriage, and learn how to ground yourself to be calm and focused for your horse while you ride.

Leave with a series of Pilates based exercises tailored to each individual to help posture, position and balance.

📅 Day Two (3pm – 5PM) – Humans & Horses
£80 Workshop with Marion Voss

Saddle up and learn how your new learnings about your body translate into your riding. Through practical application in the saddle and using the principles of working equitation see how even minor changes in your balance and posture learned in the previous session improve the movement and balance of your horse.

Yes!

The late, great western performance horseman, Les Vogt, once said something that really resonated with me. Quick as a wink, I raced to rustle up a pen and piece of paper, so that this gem would soak in and not be forgotten.

“Polish your horse’s self-esteem!” he said, during a short little reel, as he spoke about goals in his own horsemanship. He went on to talk about something else but by then, I’d come to a full stop.

Right there. That’s it, right there. No matter my age, or discipline, or dreams, or horse power, or opportunities, I want my horses to feel better about themselves when they're around me. No matter what I’m teaching them, or struggling with, or how we are perceived by other people, let me build their courage, their comfort and their sense of peace. Let me build their minds and bodies and not just be another who chips it all away.

Let us be our very best selves, together.

It’s such a great phrase because I suspect that it may be the golden nugget within all positive relationships… and not just the one between me and my horse.
