Not the result that I wanted!

First time out in the rain since April, clearly rusty!

Started P11 went forward a couple places and then slowly dropped back into P12 where I stayed for the majority of the race.

Next up Buckmore 12HR!!

I guess.

Finally back racing again, and it wasn’t a bad way to do it.

Back a year later, with the aim of improving my position from last year,

Starting on pole I was pretty comfortable of the start gaining some room from the pack with some yellow flags for multiple laps due to a big crash, hindering my progress.

Ben Johnson eventually got past, then we started to break away from the pack leaving P3 13 seconds behind.

Bumper to bumper for over half the race coming to ends on the line. leaving me in P2,
With the fastest lap.🥈

Not bad for 2-3 months out of competitive karting!

Decent!

Round 5 of the championship took place

Going into the race I was relatively confident as I had decent pace in practice. Before the start of the race we had our very own interpretation of a grid walk, due to some technical difficulties before getting going.

Once we got into the race starting P5, off the line I was instantly leapfrogged and sent to the outside of the track where I dropped down 2 positions into P7, I would then grow Into the race gaining positions quickly getting myself into P3, where I would battle my way for a while before battling loosing P3 and P4 then eventually find my way working with Toby for the entirety of the race until the last lap where I would try to pass on the final corner and the straight up to the line where we would finish side by side, Toby just taking P4 with me happy with P5.

Thanks for setting up the event as always.

So close!

Round 4 of the championship took place a track that I would like to think I’m fast at. 😂

Starting P12 on the grid I was very confident as I got the fastest lap in practice.

The lights went out and I instantly made 2 positions off the line, and though some very well calculated moves made my way to P4 after only 2 laps.
After that I held a constant gap with P3 not being able to get in an overtake distance, until he started to fight with which allowed me to close the gap and overtake to take P3 ,after that I was trying my hardest to catch up with . After closing the gap and having some good luck with back markers I was able to catch up to them having some good battles along the way which saw me get P2 and then eventually get into the lead with 4 laps to go, I felt in control of the race defending and holding of the people behind until the last lap into hairpin 1 got a tap from behind sending me wide, I got let back through but all was lost, Megan was able to sneak through into the lead and was able to hold me off through the final few corners and take the win.

Finished in P2 which I’m happy with but I know I would have been able to hold them off for the win, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Also got Driver Of The Night, so I guess 2 trophies are better than 1 🏆🏆😂😂

Congrats on the win, hopefully next time I can beat you!

Back on track!
Round 2 of the Club 73 championship took place at .

Starting P7 instantly making places of the start making a couple places up into the podium places where I would have a long battle with the people around me which was p2-p5 after trying my hardest to stay with the pack my knee ultimately was giving up after dislocating it a week prior but I was determined to get to the finish to get some decent points on the board. I would eventually finish in P5 But with the DSQ of in-front I would gain a position into P4.

And to my surprise at the end getting driver of the day🏆

Not the start that I wanted, but it’s upwards from here!

First round at Anglia karting.
Qualifying got me to P8 Which was around about in the middle of the pack.

Race 1:
had a great start gaining 2 positions until I got put into a barrier in the middle of the lap tumbling me down the order down into 12th where I had all the work to do to fight back through the pack, I would eventually make some places back to be able to finish where I started in P8.

Race 2: The layout of the track was changed for this one adding a new section and the tightening of some corners starting P4 on the grid had an ok start holding my position till the first hairpin where I got T-boned and yet again kicked down the order where I would eventually finish down in P11 the total points added up for me to come P8 overall in my race giving me some points to start the championship fight this year.

Thanks and the team at Anglia karting for the event. Onto the next one 👆

That’s a wrap.

My first season in competitive karting over

And it all ended at PFI starting P5 on a wet track that’s dried out fast, had a great start running away from the pack soon to be caught up when I was battling for P3 when I went way to deep into a wet corner and spun sending me down to P13 where I had a long fight back to P7 when I lost out on a battle and finished P9.

Ultimately putting me P6 in the championship after leading it for the whole season.

Thanks to the guys at PFI and of course for the great season and weekend

After a long drive, looking forward to the last race of the season. Another new track to try and master.
