⚽️⚽️ Friday night infront of a great crowd of 150+ Ellesmere Rangers FC finished their league campaign with a 3-1 win. A 3rd place finish is a great improvement on the last few seasons. Great credit to manager Mike O’Reilly and the team. Also a big Thank you to all the new sponsors who have come onboard this season to help the club develop, without your help and support the club from junior level to the men’s first team, we would struggle to survive. 👏👏We have one HUGE left to play this Friday 8th May, Ellesmere Rangers vs Dawley Town in The Tony Bywater cup final at Shrewsbury Towns Stadium. 7.30pm kick off…. Please if possible can the Ellesmere community come together and show your support for our local grassroots football team ⚽️⚽️

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that Ellesmere Rangers Football Club marks the passing of John Bull Brayne.

John was far more than a supporter of the club — he was part of its very fabric. Over many years, he gave his time, energy, and care selflessly, serving as a dedicated committee member and playing a major role in shaping the club into what it is today. His commitment never wavered, and his presence was felt by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Beyond his contributions to the club, John was a great friend to so many of us. He was always there with a kind word, steady advice, or a familiar smile, and his friendship meant the world to those who knew him.

John’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 11th February at 3:00pm at Pentrebychan Crematorium. Following the service, all are welcome to join us at Criftins Parish Hall from 4:00pm to continue remembering and celebrating John’s life. Those who would prefer are very welcome to attend the gathering at Criftins Parish Hall only.

Family flowers only please. A collection will be taken in memory of John for Hope House and Ellesmere Rangers Football Club. Donations can also be made via the QR code provided, which links to John’s MuchLoved tribute page, where messages can be shared and contributions made in his memory.

We are immensely grateful for everything John gave to Ellesmere Rangers FC. His legacy will live on in the club he helped build and in the memories shared by all who knew him.

Our thoughts are with John’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. He will always be remembered
