EPGC officially commences its Greens Improvement Programme ⛳
Over the coming weeks, members and visitors will begin to see significant investment and major course improvements taking place across the greens as we continue building the future of Ellesmere Port Golf Club.
This marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to unlocking the true potential of the course.
Our programme includes:
✅ Solid tine aeration
✅ De-thatching & scarification using our newest addition to the fleet — the Toro Thatchaway
✅ Overseeding & treatment of bare patches
✅ Top dressing with medium-grade sand
✅ Double-shot wetting agent application across all greens using Aquasorb 45 & Aqueduct
✅ Goemar seaweed treatment programme
✅ Advanced liquid feed & fertiliser applications including:
• Basfoliar RootBoost
• GoGreen Select
• Fossil
In addition, we are proud to announce a new quarterly chemical treatment partnership with Agrovista, helping ensure the course receives a professional, structured agronomy programme moving forward.
This work, combined with the recent investment into an entire fleet of new Toro greenkeeping machinery, represents a huge step forward for EPGC and our long-term vision for the club.
There may be some short-term disruption while these improvements are carried out, but the long-term benefits for the health, playability, and consistency of the greens will be substantial.
This is only the beginning.
