Calling all Ladies who fancy giving crown green bowling a go! Come and join our lovely ladies bowling team at Elland Community Sports Club. We are a team of mixed ages and abilities who would love to welcome new and old players to the sport for the 2026 season 🌞

Elland Invitation Pairs in memory of James Senior will take place on Sunday 29th March at Elland Community Sports Club.

This competition is open to all male and female bowers from Elland C.A & B.C and Elland WMC due to James playing for both of these clubs.

£10 per pair to enter and prize money is dependent upon the number of entries received.

Today we held our annual Graham Knott Memorial pairs competition! We had a wonderful turn out from our lovely members, and some fantastic bowling was displayed throughout the day. The final saw Anita Naylor & Sam Oldfield take on Roy Greenwood & Abby Burke. The final was eventually won by Roy & Abby which means that Roy now has his name on the trophy not once but twice! Thank you to the Knott family and Julian Robertshaw for organising this year’s memorial competition, thank you to all our bowlers who turned up to play this morning and congratulations to Roy & Abby on their win 🏆

Hi everyone, just a quick message for those who haven’t received Julian’s email about the annual in club Graham Knott drawn pairs competition.

It’s an enter on the day competition which will be held on Sunday 31st August 10:30am start, so please arrive before then to enter and find out who your partner will be. There will also be pie and peas available on the day.

It’s always a lovely day so it would be great to see as many of you there as possible! The more entries we have the more in club competitions we can look at putting on ☺️
