Well done to our Club Captain, John C who again won the C class trophy at the Fortmartine 800 outdoor event today. Ellon have also awarded Elgin with £200. Through their constitution, they make an annual award to charities, good causes and other clubs. Well done John and a very big thank you to Ellon Small Bore Rifle Club.

We had a busy range again tonight. Elgin A & B Teams took on RAF Lossiemouth and a squad from RAF Small Arms Association in a head to head competition. In a close match. Elgin A pipped the RAFSAA to take the win by 2 points.

Exciting times at Elgin Miniature Rifle Club. For the first time in 40 years, we are on the verge of offering air rifle shooting in our range in Elgin. We hope to set up a guest event soon and it would be good to hear from anyone interested in joining or hearing more about trying out this relatively cheap sport in a safe, supervised manor. Recent club activities have included the fun Tattie competition, where category winners receive a big of tatties and the overall winner receives a box of ammo too. Prizes were awarded at our Christmas Shoot

As well as useful for air rifle disciplines, the newly built bench has already been tried out for bench rest shooting. Still work to be done but coming along nicely

A good couple of weekends for Elgin Miniature Rifle Club. We retained the Strathdeveron Shield for another year, then last weekend, John, Jack and Phil came back from the Aberdeenshire Wapinschaw with title in the C, D Novice, pairs and joint first in the Team competition. Well done to All
