Random Golf Club is coming to Covesea! 👀⛳

We’re very excited to be welcoming the team from Random Golf Club to Covesea for a 9 hole Mad Scramble later this month.

As part of their Scottish Highlands Major, they’ll be joining us for an evening of golf at Covesea, and the best bit is you don’t need to be taking part in the Major to join them!

We had some stellar guests here over the weekend... 🏌

Andy was delighted to make his caddying debut for proffesional tour caddy Scotty MacCoinnich and his dad Alan this weekend.

Andy was in his element caddying for an actual professional looper.

Not only did Scotty have the guidance of the man who know Covesea better than anyone, it was also his birthday, so many happy returns! 🎉

What Makes a Great Links Golf Course? ⛳

Firm, running ground....On a links course, the game doesn't stop when the ball lands.

Firm turf brings slopes, contours and unpredictable bounces into play, opening up shots you might never consider elsewhere.

Do you fly it all the way to the green? Land it short and let it run? Maybe even reach for the putter from well off the green?

That's part of the beauty of links golf. The ground is every bit as important as the air.

The Covesea Open returns on Sunday 27 September. ⛳

Now in its fourth year, the Open has become a very special date in our calendar, bringing golfers together at Covesea for a day of links golf while continuing to support SAMH.

We wanted to tell a little more of the story behind the Open this year, so we asked some of the people who know it best what makes the day so special.

A new Covesea course record AND a first ever hole in one! 🏆⛳ What a round from James!

After more than 30 years playing golf, James recorded his first ever hole in one before going on to finish the round at an incredible 5 under par, setting a new course record at Covesea Links, a record previously held by Kyle Godsman! 👏

Two achievements that would make any round memorable, never mind managing them both on the same day.

A huge congratulations from everyone at Covesea, James. That one might take some beating!
