I see this advice a lot about restringing as many times per year as you play per week.

I know as a squash player I never felt this was necessary, I always had a backup racquet and would only replace if I could tell a string was showing significant wear so I take this with a big pinch of salt.

What do all you tennis and badminton players think of this advice? Would love to hear your thoughts!
