The Old Boys Stars are proud to announce the signing of Coady Scott ahead of the new season.

Coady is a hugely experienced 28-year-old English cricketer with over 12 years of first-team cricket behind him. A right-arm opening bowler and dependable middle-order batsman, he has taken more than 400 first-team wickets, including remarkable career-best figures of 10-33, and has a high score of 112 off 53 balls.

He has captained his club Egremont for the past four years in premier cricket, played representative cricket for his county, and in 2019 had the incredible opportunity to be a net bowler at the ICC Cricket World Cup with both Sri Lanka and South Africa. Most recently, Coady finished as the leading wicket-taker in the Cumbria Premier League with 34 wickets.

Off the field, Coady holds a degree in Sports Coaching and Physical Education, bringing not only his playing experience but also a wealth of knowledge in player development.

We’re excited to see what he brings to the team this season — welcome, Coady! 💙🏏

A brilliant day yesterday for the annual Joe Linklater golf day, raising funds for both Egremont Cricket Club and Egremont Rugby League Club.
130 golfers participated in the golf with Mick Ferguson winning. Beth Linklater organised a raffle with some great prizes and everyone enjoyed an evening in the RL, where the Mustangz entertained all.
£3300 was raised, £1650 to each club. A brilliant effort and much needed by both clubs.

A huge amount of thanks goes out to Glynn Williams and the Linklater family, who organised everything and made it a very successful day. 👏👏👏

This Saturday sees the annual Joe Link Golf day at Seascale GC, raising much needed funds for both the Cricket and Rugby League clubs. This years night do is in the RL club. It would be great to see as many people attending, always a great night.
There is also a raffle, so if you can’t attend, you can still contribute by buying tickets. Leave a message if you want tickets. Beth has done a fantastic effort in putting a great prize list together.
