Edinburgh Ski Club Public page for Edinburgh Ski Club. Established in 1966 and still going strong! Our social programme is just as important to us as our snowsports activities.

Edinburgh Ski Club has a diverse membership of over 200 skiers and boarders of all abilities. As a member of Edinburgh Ski Club you will meet like-minded people to ski and snowboard with and will have access to exclusive member discounts. As a club we organise three European holidays a year and two to three weekends away throughout the year, with our annual winter weekend in February being the hig

hlight. Join our outdoor meetups, regular pub nights, formal dinners and a whole host of other fun activities throughout the year.

Our committee member Aran recently had the excellent idea of organising some walks that are fully accessible by public transport! The first of these was a trip to Stow in the Scottish Borders, where these guys enjoyed a wander via the woods and local hills and visited the ruins of the 13th century Auld Kirk and graveyard.

Wow! These guys got so lucky with the weather on Saturday for our Schiehallion hike! A mix of old and new members, experienced and less-experienced Munro-baggers, and keeping them all in check was Bramble the dog! Those views… 😍

**UPDATE: CHANGE OF DATE**

~~~ Due to heavy rain forecast for tomorrow and Thursday, we have decided to postpone this walk until our next regular meet-up on Thursday 6th June. We’ll head to on that occasion instead, but for this week we’ll be meeting at our usual hangout of the . See you there! ~~~

This is our lovely member Alfred enjoying Edinburgh’s finest viewpoint (and yes, that’s an ESC bobble hat he’s wearing!). Be more like Alfred! Join us this Thursday evening for a wee jaunt up Arthur’s Seat before we head to for a well-earned drink!

Meet at the Holyrood Car Park on Queen’s Drive at 6pm or join us at the pub from 7.15pm.

We were all pretty jealous of Niall’s end-of-season trip to the Alps, but none more so than this pair, who decided to redress the balance with a last dash to . On the plus side, some lovely late-season snow had fallen overnight, all the way down to car park level. And the less good bit…? Well, unfortunately the clouds also chose to descend almost as far!! Low vis + ungroomed pistes = lots of falling over and lots of laughter! Better luck next season, you two!
