After 40, most peoples priorities change. I know mine did!

People want to feel strong. Capable. Like their body is working with them, not against them.

They want to keep up with the world around them, move without wincing, and say yes to things without having to think twice about whether they’re physically up to it.

That’s the whole point of Forge.

Not a transformation challenge.
Not a fat loss programme.

A proper, progressive training system built around real life.

3 sessions a week, 30-40 minutes each, everything laid out so there’s nothing to figure out.

Lifting straps are a fantastic tool - especially when it comes to pulling exercises such as RDLs or rows.

On exercises such as these, our grip will be the limiting factor as these muscles will tire much quicker than the larger muscle groups - like your back or hamstrings - used in these exercises. Meaning you are leaving gains on the table!

So learning to use straps effectively can be a game changer. Just be careful to only use them when absolutely needed and not for everything, as grip strength is also a super important thing to develop.

Personally I think the reason most people don’t get the results they want is because they put all their effort in the wrong places.

It’s not even really their fault. The stuff that gets results isn’t the sexy stuff. It isn’t the stuff that looks good on social media.

It’s the relentless dedication to all the ‘boring’ stuff that gets results.

Now I’m not saying you have to do that too. If you want to only do WODs, metcons, Hyrox workouts because you genuinely enjoy them, brilliant!

I’m just saying just don’t expect the same results that you see from all the people you may look up to or idolise if you aren’t willing to put in on the stuff you don’t want to.
