Unfortunately the season ends in loss. Although we played and caused problems, unfortunately 3 mistakes cost us. In what looked like a promising season ended up disappointing the squad changing so many times so much so only 3 players from the first game of season played in the last. Pretty much sums up the season that stat. Week or 2 off then we look on to prepare for next season.

Finally back at Newcraighall for a league game against Lothian athletic. The previous games against them have been crackers and very close, that could’ve went either way, but sadly losing out in final part of each match. Challenge cup. A game with both teams in really poor form. In all honesty we controlled the game from start to finish, although finding ourselves 1 down against the run of play with an OG from free kick into the box. 1-1 halftime but should’ve been ahead. 2nd half full of excitement. And really should’ve scored a lot more. But with having made all subs, 4-1 up we lost a player to injury with 15 mins to go, then got a player sent off with 10 mins to go, and last 5 mins to go another player sent off 🙈. Disappointed to loose a 2 nd goal due to a mistake, but when 3 players down it happens. So delighted to see out the game with the win and progress to the next round.

Again a slow start but slowly grew into it but not enough, 1 down at HT 2nd half started far better, for 30 mins we looked like we’d be the team to go on to win after getting it to 1-1, but couldn’t convert the pressure, then one mistake and we crumbled in the last 15.

If we can avoid the nightmare of a start last week, then we’ll give ourselves a chance against a decent Edinburgh harps. At home we managed a win with both going all out attack, so something along those lines would be good. Killed ourselves in the opening 20 mins finding ourselves 3 down. Then finally settled and gave a better account of ourselves. But when give a good side a 3 goal advantage then your always up against it.

Finally back to competitive football. Having not played for a month the boys are buzzing to get back to. Massive 2nd half of the season and the boys have got plenty to prove, after starting the season well we fell away dramatically so time get back on it and back to how we started.
