NCC Lake district trip 2026!!

And that's a wrap on this year of the club guys well done everyone!
The trip was really fun despite some slightly damp weather. We still managed to get in swimming, hiking, some good scrambles and a big (indoor) climbing sesh.
Special thanks to our drivers Will, Bassam and Keira for making the trip possible and especially to Jess our president for planning like everything!

This has been such a fun year at the club so thanks to everyone who showed up to any of our tasters, regular sessions, trips and socials, you guys are the goats!

LAST SOCIAL OF THE YEAR GUYS!!! 🧗🥳

We really want to celebrate all the work everyone has put in this academic year and how much the society has done so if you are still in town on tuesday you better be there.
We will have a silly awards ceremony with 1 of 1 certificates so if you are a member pls vote on the silly awards via the link in the group chat.

Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our ceilidh tomorrow, 29th of April, due to low attendance.
Anyone who's bought a ticket will be refunded, we're sorry for any disappointment caused! A few of us are still going to Dropkicks from 9pm.

Last year's was really fun and we've got a great band booked so we wanna see everyones best moves!

We want this to be a big celebration to end the year. No dress code, but birthday suits are heavily, HEAVILY discouraged. If you've got a kilt, dress or any other fancy garbs why not wear them?

OUR CEILIDH IS BACK! EVERYONE WELCOME!

Our last ceilidh went fantastically, with over 50 people attending! We are back again for a fantastic night of Scottish ceilidh dancing with a live band. It will be held at Dropkick Murphy's from 7-9pm on the 29th of April. Tickets are in bio!

If you have never done a ceilidh before don't worry as they will speak through all the dances! The joy comes from no one knowing what they're doing!

This night is your chance to wear your fancy clothes. We're talking suits, kilts, fancy dresses. Let's see how good NCC and everyone who comes can look!

This event is not just limited to the climbing club, absolutely everyone is welcome! So bring your family and friends along.

Our big end of term trip is up on native now guys!!
We'll be going to the lake district from the 18th-21st of May, we'll be doing lots of outdoor bouldering as well as roped climbs, hiking and, if the weather is as good as last year🤞swimming!

Okay guys we're giving you plenty of time to prepare for this one.
Our hats and wigs social is in dropkick Murphy's at 9pm on the 14th. We wanna see clown wigs, dunce hats whatever you've got.
Andddd, best wig/hat (as decided by democratic vote) will be rewarded a free ticket to our ceilidh at the end of the month so make sure to bring your A game!

Well done to everyone that took part in varsity with this week, special congrats to Hazel and Emberlee from qmu for placing first and second for the girls and ditto for our very own Domenik and Bassam for the guys.
Thanks to everyones hard efforts we won overall on points, but the best thing about the comp was getting to see so much good sportsmanship and friendliness from everyone there.
Thanks so much guys hope to do it again next year!
