The U15 boys travelled to Cambuslang at the weekend to take part in the Cambuslang U15 10s festival, enjoying a fantastic day in the Glasgow sunshine.
"All the lads were excellent today and should be really proud of themselves. A new format for us as we hadn't played 10s before, against some really strong teams we hadn't faced before, and we more than stood up to that challenge and were superb in all our games. Wins against Boroughmuir and Cambuslang, a draw against Greenock, and three one score losses to Cambuslang, Dumfries and Ayr that could have very easily gone our way with a different bounce or break of the ball.
The boys worked incredibly hard and will have learnt so much from the experience, proving to me what I already knew: they can absolutely mix it with the best our age group has to offer. Hopefully the boys now start to believe that too.Β
This weekend also marked the end of our season at U15s. A very good season overall: lots of good rugby and some real learning points and experiences we will take forward. Time to rest up as we prepare to enter the national set up next season and look forward to opportunities to compete with the best clubs from across the country on a regular basis."
Graeme Craig, U15 boys Head Coach.Β
