Ladies, you never need to apologise to your coach for having a difficult week.

Life can get busy. Work becomes stressful, family needs your attention and some weeks you simply won’t have the same energy as others.

You also don’t need to apologise for missing a workout, enjoying a takeaway, feeling nervous in the gym or asking for your programme to be changed.

I don’t expect the ladies I coach to be perfect or have their whole life revolve around fitness.

I want you to feel comfortable telling me when you’re struggling so we can have a chat, make changes where needed and help you keep moving forward without adding even more pressure.

A good coach should take the time to understand you as a person not make you feel guilty when life doesn’t go exactly to plan.

If you’re looking for a coach who will listen, understand your situation and support you without judgement, send me “SUPPORT”

Let’s have a chat about how I can help you finish the year with the right support around you to achieve the results you deserve.

I’m a personal trainer, but I’m not motivated to exercise every day either.

There are days when I’m tired, stressed or simply can’t be bothered and I don’t pretend otherwise.

I’ve learned that every workout doesn’t need to be my best one.

Sometimes I’ll train hard, sometimes I’ll reduce the weight or do a shorter session, and sometimes taking a rest day is the right decision.

That doesn’t mean I’ve failed or need to wait until Monday to start again.

Fitness needs to work alongside your life not take it over.

So if you’re having a difficult week, take some of the pressure off yourself. Adjust what you’re doing and focus on what you can manage today.

Do you ever feel guilty when you don’t complete the workout you planned?

Seven years of coaching women has taught me this…

Most ladies already know they should move more, eat better and make more time for themselves.

The difficult part is doing it when you’ve got work, family, stress and 101 other things going on.

I’ve worked with women struggling with gym confidence, menopause, their weight and their mental health.

What I’ve learned is that most ladies don’t need more pressure they need the right support.

That starts with me getting to know you as a person.

I want to understand what you’re struggling with, what’s going on in your life and what type of support you need from me.

I don’t want to just hand you a training plan and expect you to get on with it yourself.

Whether you train with me at The Gym Group Murrayfield or work with me online, you’ll have someone who listens, supports you and helps you find a way forward that works for your life.

If you feel like you’ve been putting yourself last for too long, send me “SUPPORT”.

Let’s have a chat about moving forward and start prioritising yourself again.

Before you start another diet this September, read this 👇🏻

Ladies, summer is over and you might feel like you’ve lost your usual routine.

Maybe your clothes feel a little tighter, your meals have been all over the place or you haven’t exercised as consistently as you planned.

That doesn’t mean you’ve failed or need to punish yourself by cutting out carbs, living on salads or going to the gym five days a week.

How many times have you tried that before, only to feel overwhelmed and give up after a couple of weeks?

What you need is a realistic structure that works around your job, family and lifestyle.

Start with a few simple changes you can manage:

✅ Plan some easy meals for the week
✅ Schedule two strength sessions
✅ Increase your daily movement
✅ Stop writing off the week after one difficult day
✅ Ask for support when you need it

You don’t need to change everything overnight. You need a plan you can stick to, accountability when motivation drops and support without judgement.

I’m putting together a 12-week challenge to help ladies lose body fat, build lean muscle and finish the year feeling stronger and more confident without going on another restrictive diet.

DM me “STRONG” if you would like to find out more details on finishing the year stronger 💪🏻

Progress doesn’t always mean lifting heavier, training harder or having the perfect week.

Some weeks you’ll feel motivated, full of energy and ready to push yourself.

Other weeks, work gets busy, you haven’t slept well, your mood feels lower and you’ve got 101 other things to deal with.

That doesn’t mean you’ve failed or undone all your progress.

Sometimes progress is getting to the gym and completing a shorter workout.

It might be going for a walk, preparing one balanced meal or simply choosing not to let one difficult day turn into a difficult week.

You don’t need to punish yourself with more exercise, restrict your food or wait until Monday to start again.

Instead of asking:

“Why can’t I stick to anything?”

Try asking yourself:

“What can I realistically manage today?”

Consistency isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about learning how to keep moving forward when life doesn’t go to plan.
