Before you cut your calories lower or add more cardio, check these 3 things first:
1️⃣ Your weekends are undoing your weekdays.
You can be consistent Monday–Friday, but a couple of meals out, drinks and extra snacks at the weekend can easily wipe out the calorie deficit you created during the week.
2️⃣ You’re underestimating how much you’re actually eating. I can guarantee it !
Oils, sauces, drinks, snacks and slightly bigger portions all count. You don’t need to obsessively track every calorie, but those “little extras” can add up faster than you think.
3️⃣ You’re expecting results too quickly.
Your weight won’t drop every single week. Water retention, digestion and normal fluctuations can hide fat loss on the scales. Look at the trend over several weeks, not what happened over the last few days.
Fat loss doesn’t require perfection.
It requires a calorie deficit you can consistently maintain for long enough to see results.
So before you make your diet more restrictive or start training harder, make sure one of these isn’t the real issue.
