Today we held our latest flag/ stroke play event at Kingsknowe Golf Club (KGC) with 88 boys and girls playing.

A huge thank you to Professional Scott Munro for all his help in organising the event and to the members for given the course up for the youngsters. The course was in excellent condition but the wind made the conditions very tricky for all the kids.

The best score of the day for the boys came from Oliver Pentland Turnhouse Golf Club Ltd ( U15)and Freddie Carlton Paisley Golf Club (U12)with excellent 72 in the conditions.

For the girls the best of the day was from Carla Burns Douglas Park Golf Club with a fantastic 74.

In the flag event Finlay Neil ( U10) was the best for the boys with an amazing 32 while for the girls Erin Doherty Crail Golfing Society and Keira Duffy The West Lothian Golf Club - Ladies Section both scored 36.

Yesterday we held our latest 9 hole flag and 18 Hole stroke play event Pumpherston Golf Club

Many thanks to everyone at the club for given up their course for the kids today. Special mention to Junior Convenor Colin McLean and all his helpers on the day in making the event run so smoothly on the day The course was in fantastic condition for all the 88 boys and girls taken part.The weather though made it tough for all with constant rain although our PGA Coah Jane Connachan was on hand all day for some tips for all the players and it seemed to pay off with some excellent scoring in the conditions.

The lowest scores of the day for the boys were from Rocco Di Ciacca Swanston Golf Club and Innes Dunn Old Course Ranfurly Golf Club with excellent 74's and for the girls Tarah Simpson The Blairgowrie Golf Club Golf Club scored 83

In the 9 hole flag event for the U10 boys Hunter Wilmot Barassie Links - KBGC was best of the day with a 36 and in the U15 Boys Callum Torrance The West Lothian Golf Club led the way with an excellent 34 and for the girls there was a 3 way tie on 38 for Kiera Duffy The West Lothian Golf Club - Ladies Section Evelyn Playford Broomieknowe Golf Club ans Olivia Todd Cathcart Castle Golf Club.

There was alao an extra special moment for Ben Middleton Glencorse Golf Club who had a hole in one on the 4th hole, well done Ben 👏👏👏

Today we held our latest flag/ stroke play event at Bonnyton Golf Club with 60 boys and girls playing.

A huge thank you to club members Stevie and Jonny for all their help today. The club were fantastic hosts and the course was in brilliant condition.

The best score of the day came from Maxwell Clark Lochmaben Golf Club with an excellent 1 under 71.

Lewis MacKellar Paisley Golf Club was today’s U12s winner with a 84.

Amy Marran Hilton Park Golf Club was the Girls U18s winner.

Well done to Kiera Duffy The West Lothian Golf Club (37), Hunter Wilmot Barassie Links - KBGC (38) and Cillian Graham The Musselburgh Golf Club (39) winning their categories in the flag event.

Our Scottish Golf Young Leaders are putting their leadership skills into action by organising and delivering and Come & Try day for women and girls with a disability or long-term health condition 💙

Taking place at GolfIt! on Sunday 20 September, the session is open to new golfers and anyone looking to return to the game.

The Young Leaders have created a relaxed, fun and welcoming day featuring:

🏌️‍♀️ A coaching clinic
⛳ On-course play
🤝 Opportunities to socialise and connect with others

The session is open to females aged 10+ with a physical, learning or sensory disability, or a long-term health condition.

Yesterday we held our latest 9 hole Flag and 18 Hole Stroke Play event at Turnhouse Golf Club Ltd . Many thanks to them for hosting the event. The 81 boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed the course.

The best boy score of the day came from Rory Laird Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Club Pro Shop with an excellent 69 while for the girls Carla Burns Douglas Park Golf Club shot an impressive 75.

In the flag event Jamie Heathwood Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society shot 35 in U15 boys and Alessandro Di Ciacca Swanston Golf Club shot 35 in the U10 boys. For the girls Evelyn Playford Broomieknowe Golf Club and Erin Doherty Crail Golfing Society both shot 39 in the U14 girls.
