Coaching:

The positive development of people through judo will always be the number one priority of Sportif Judo. Our aim is to create a friendly, positive environment for people to learn judo and ultimately to create confident, respectful and skilful judo players. To put it very simply Sportif Judo exists to bring the very best out in people to help them to reach or even surpass their potential.

Sportif Judo is committed to the evolution and development of judo. The company event manages coaching workshops and seminars, tournaments and training camps including the Sportif International which is the biggest International event for cadets and Juniors in the United Kingdom attracting teams from around the World. Consultancy

Sportif Judo provide coach training and education for National Governing bodies around the World. The company also delivers workshops and seminars on behalf of the Olympic Solidarity Programme, European Judo Union and International Judo Federation. A word from the President of Sportif Judo

Congratulations to all the Sportif Judo players, young athletes and their committed families who were involved in the Scottish National Championships.
27 Gold 17 Siver 23 Bronze medals.
Of course the medal tally matters but the performances, the respect shown and the positive attitudes displayed by everyone was the real prize.
Finally HUGE thanks and appreciation to the Coaching Team. You are the heart beat, the motivation and your commitment is the fuel for the Teams success

To the coaching Team who give their time, experience, expertise and support, they are the foundations on which all the successes are built.
To parents who commit week in week out, who drive, who are there encouraging, backing, pushing when needs be and giving a cuddle when things don’t go according plan.

The expectations are high to truly give your best, not to win, but to try. When you do that you always win 🏆

An amazing result for Luke and Maia. For those who don’t know Luke and Maia both British & Scottish number 1s many times have now committed to become full time athletes for Team Canada 🇨🇦 through their Mum Lori being a Canadian National. Why Canada 🇨🇦 simply because Canadian who finished 5th in the medal table at last weeks World Championships offer one of the best full time judo set ups in the World.
The medals won in Montreal this weekend by Luke and Maia are game changers and firmly confirm their place on the Canadian Team 🇨🇦
Every so often it’s vital to perform this weekend was one of those times.
This coupled with Sophie Woods double gold in Sweden 🇸🇪 highlights the opportunities at Sportif Judo for those who are prepared to commit to a performance lifestyle

Judo 🥋 is an incredible sport with massive highs and difficult to handle lows. These highs and lows are all part of the journey.
Yesterday Fin Allan won a silver at the CWG. His Sportif Team mate Hannah Wood should also have competed in the 52k division where she had an excellent opportunity to also medal at the event. Sadly she had to withdraw from Team Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 CW Games Team just days before the event due to injury. This is judo and to achieve those life long goals one has to power though the wins and the losses, the golden moments and the dark ones too.
Both Hannah Wood and Fin Allan are just 20 years old, they have time, 3 Olympic Games and multiple international events. The future is bright, it’s what you make it.
