Last week, I had my quarterly 121 with Jake, one of the Optimised Coaches.

AS with all of the coaches, we ran through, what’s working, what’s not, and we strategised for the quarter ahead.

One of the issues Jake had come up against, was leads, or a lack thereof.

So we spent our time making an actionable plan.

Jake wasted no time in implementing (the golden rule of the OC)

Fast forward only 7 days,

And he’s 5x’d his leads,

Signed up 4 brand new clients, at his new price point,

And completely flipped his mindset.

Now look, I don’t often come on here to blow smoke up my own hoop.

But he categorically wouldn’t have done this without support.

Because when you’re in the hole,

You can’t think rationally,

You cant think strategically,

Because you’re usually panicking.

And that’s just one of a million reasons why having a mentor in your corner is VITAL

And why I personally will never be without one (currently have 2)

The relationship of a coach and they mentor is the same as the relationship between a coach and their client.

Its founded on Alchemy

/ˈalkɪmi/

A seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination.
"finding the person who's right for you requires a very subtle alchemy"

A lot of coaches have had negative or sub-par experiences with mentorships before coming to work with us.

That doesn’t mean to say that the other mentors was bad,

It’s more that the alchemy wasn’t there.

Most likely, the mentors ideology and belief systems didn’t match that of the coach, or vice-versa.

The flip side of that, as a positive, is that when you DO find the right mentor, group and mentorship for you,

It will without question, be the most powerful experience you’ve ever had in your business…

With clients, if it’s not a F*CK YES! It’s a no.

There should be no middle ground,

We’ve all had a few clients that ultimately aren’t a good fit…

They are difficult to work with,

They find you difficult to work with,

They complain,

You get annoyed,

Everyones goes him frustrated AF.

BUT IT’S YOUR FAULT.

You, as the coach, have the job of adequately assessing and triaging all leads.

To ensure that not only they are a good fit,

But that you and the client are a good match.

If you’re unsure, it’s probably a no.

And by learning to say no, you will safeguard yourself from those energy vampire clients.

Sure you might make a few less sales,

But I PROMISE you,

They money you would have earned, was not worth the headache you would have got,

(read that agin)

And in actual fact, you’ll probably find you have better energy day to day,

Which will probably lead to more (and better) sales elsewhere.

Had a chat with a coach about this this week.

He was getting stressed out and wound up about stuff that didn’t matter.

And you know what?

It was detracting from his ability to deliver his best coaching to his clients.

Just like a TV show…The side characters don’t get much air time…

The only main characters for you are:

YOU, YOUR FAMILY & YOUR CLIENTS…

Let me tell you too,

Unless you coach other coaches,

Their opinions on things are strictly irrelevant to your day.

MUTE - UNFOLLOW - BLOCK if you must.

Control your inputs coach…

Walk your own path, play your own game, write your own story.

And that’s where the OC comes in…

I’ll level with you…  After Toby signed up to The OC, he had a shaky patch.

A few of his clients left, and his brain went into meltdown.  We’ve all been there coach…

But the problem was, he couldn’t see the wood for the trees - he was so focused on the problem, that the solution was completely invisible to him.

So we had a quick chat,

Made a plan,

And got to work,

I assured him that if he STUCK to the plan, without deviation, and stayed true to it,

That it would come good.

And guess what?

It did,

Fast forward 8 weeks, and Toby has one of the highest call booking AND conversion rates in the group.

Coincidence?

Nope.

Can we teach you to do the same?  Hell yeah.
