BLUES & COLOURS AWARDS 2026 ๐ฅ
Last week, we had the honour of celebrating three of our graduating members at the Blues and Colours Awards.
Alistair took home a Colours award and was nominated for the Colour of the Year Award for his exceptional contribution to our club and community. In his time on the committee, Alistair has filled the role of president, vice-president, equipment & safety officer and rally coordinator. Alistair played a huge role in reviving the navigational rally and increasing recreational engagement, hosting our first navigational rally in many years and helping deliver the clubโs biggest recreational event to date.
Bethany was also awarded a Colours award for her efforts and dedication to our club and community. During her five years on the committee, Bethany served as President for two years, as well as Vice-President, Secretary, and Publicity & Alumni Officer. As president, Bethany led a major restructuring of the club, resulting in a doubling of membership and improved committee performance. She also played a role as an advocate for women in motorsport, hosting two all-female events.
Hugh was awarded a Blues award after receiving a half-Blues last year for his outstanding performance representing the university in the British Universities Karting Championship. Finishing his degree as our BUKC captain, Hugh has consistently demonstrated exceptional pace in the Premier championship, achieving 3 BUKC race wins and 6 podium finishes, setting multiple fastest laps across three seasons, and recording the fastest lap of a 432-driver BUKC event in 2024/25. He also served as the teamโs designated qualifying driver for the annual 24-hour race throughout his time with the team.
We canโt thank our outgoing committee enough for the time and effort they have invested in making our club the amazing community it is today. We look forward to welcoming them back as our Honorary VPs for next year.๐
