Predictably, after a reasonable week weather wise, the conditions deteriorated and the first cricket match for Royal High Corstorphine Cricket Club was called off without a ball being bowled. This Saturday, the 2nd XI are at home again. Fingers crossed for drier (and slightly warmer!) weather.

Royal High RFC are also having an end of season get together, in the clubhouse. Full details, from the rugby club.

On Sunday, the mighty Royal High Rhinos have training. 1pm start for all ages. Remember to check the lost property, before the end of the season. A few items were claimed, last Sunday, but still a good few things seeking their owners!

Last rugby union game of the season and first cricket match of the season, at Barnton this weekend.

Royal High Corstorphine Cricket Club get their league action underway, on Saturday. The 2nd XI have a home match.

We are also pleased to host, a National League 1 rugby union match, Stewart's Melville RFC vs Ayr Rugby Football Club. Kick off time is 3pm, with the clubhouse and bar being open from 1pm onwards.

On Sunday, the mighty Royal High Rhinos were supposed to have a match, but our opponents have pulled out. Unless the Rhinos have organised a new match, it will be training as usual at 1-2pm. Clubhouse and bar will be open from 12.45pm onwards. Please remember that we are nearly at the end of the season and we have been slowly accumulating lost property. This is laid out, inside the clubhouse, each week. Any unclaimed items, at the end of the season, will be donated to a charity shop - so if your child has mislaid an item, please check with us before the end of the season!

Another quiet weekend, at Barnton. With only the mighty Royal High Rhinos training on Sunday. 1pm start, for all age groups. Clubhouse and bar will be open from 12.45pm onwards.

Edinburgh Eagles Rugby League started their pre season training this week. Training is on Wednesday evenings, starting at 6.45pm. For further details, please contact the Eagles direct.

The ground staff have been busy on the cricket square, as Royal High Corstorphine Cricket Club prepare for the start of their season. Pre season games (all away) start this weekend. For further details, on the 4 men's and 1 woman's teams, or training/nets sessions, contact the cricket club direct.

The Royal High Bowling Club have also started the outdoor season. Anyone interested in bowling, contact the club direct for further details.

Please also note that we host the last rugby union game of the season next week (Sat 29th April). We are delighted to be hosting Stewart's Melville RFC vs Ayr Rugby Football Club. 2pm kick off. The bar will be open from 1pm onwards, as well as during and after the game.

A quiet weekend, at Royal High. Hopefully, you all enjoy the Easter long weekend! We are taking the opportunity, during the holidays, to get some work done in the Ladies and Gents toilets, as well as some more painting around the club.

Nothing on, at Barnton, this weekend. But, on Wednesday, Edinburgh Eagles Rugby League pre season training starts. 6.45-8.15pm. For further details, please contact the Eagles direct.

Royal High Bowling Club's indoor bowling continues, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. But, the outdoor season starts Saturday 15th April. Anyone wishing to join the Bowling club, please contact them direct for further details.

No rugby, at Barnton, on Saturday. Royal High RFC only have 3 away fixtures left, starting with a visit to Allan Glens RFC. 3pm kick off.

On Sunday, the mighty Royal High Rhinos entertain Forrester Rugby Club minis. All age group matches start at 1pm. Clubhouse and bar will be open from 12.30pm onwards.

With summer creeping up on us, just a reminder that if you want to see our beautiful country, RHSAC sponsor, Big Sky Campers Scotland, have a wonderful range of vehicles for hire. Not that it needs to be summer, but don't leave it too late, the campervans can get booked up pretty quickly!

Today is the last home league match of the season, for Royal High RFC. Entertaining Murrayfield Wanderers Football Club, the match kicking off at 3pm. Bar will be open from 2pm onwards.

Sunday, at 1pm, is training time for the mighty Royal High Rhinos. Clubhouse and bar will be open from 12.30pm.

Although the current weather does not suggest summer is on its way, it is nearly time for the cricket and rugby league season. Barnton being the home of Royal High Corstorphine Cricket Club and Edinburgh Eagles Rugby League. If you fancy playing cricket or rugby league, contact the clubs direct for more information. Only Royal High Rhinos training on, at Barnton, this weekend. All ages training between 1-2pm. Unfortunately the bar will not be open on Sunday. Apologies.

Tonight there is a 21st birthday party at the club. Obviously, any rugby players attending will be on their best behaviour, with Royal High RFC travelling to second placed Hillhead Jordanhill RFC on Saturday! Due to the rugby being away in Glasgow, on Saturday, the clubhouse will not be open to show the 6 Nations games.

On Sunday, we host our visitors from Kielder, whom are all going to the Scotland game. There is also Royal High Rhinos training, from 1-2pm. Clubhouse and bar will be open, but please note we will not be staying open for the Scotland v Ireland game.

Rumours are also abound that Royal High RFC sponsor, Tradstocks Westwood, is starting work on the Centurions Boards for the clubhouse. This idea originally surfaced shortly after Tradstocks owner, Mark Freedman, gained his 100th cap! Looking forward to seeing the finished product on some lovely Scottish Whinstone.

Games on Saturday and Sunday, at Barnton, this weekend. Royal High RFC host Strathmore Rugby Club, on Saturday. 3pm kick off. Bar will be open by 2pm.

And, on Sunday, the mighty Royal High Rhinos entertain Leith Rugby minis section. All matches start at 1pm. Clubhouse and bar will be open by 12.45pm.

After the sad demise of Top Out Brewery, we now have a new ale on draught at the club. Try a pint of East Coast IPA next time you are in and give us your feedback!

On Friday, we are entertaining 125 teachers and staff members, from the Royal High School, who are celebrating the recent good school inspection report. Well done to all!

Saturday sees the clash of the black and white hoops! Royal High RFC host Perthshire Rugby, in a 3pm kick off at Barnton. The first fixture was close, with Perthshire's strong second half being the difference between the teams in the end.

Sunday is now only training for the mighty Royal High Rhinos, the fixture with Boroughmuir Rugby minis having been cancelled. All ages start at 1pm.
