Edinburgh University Ballroom Dancing Society (EUBDS) We are E-U-BDS, EUBDS! The ultimate dance society on campus! Come alone, with a partner, with flat-mates, with anyone else you can persuade to come.

For all of you who want to waltz across the dancefloor, tango till dawn, or learn just enough steps to keep you from embarrassing yourself at a social night: come to ballroom dancing! Whether you've never set eyes (or feet) on a dance-floor, or have been dancing the cha-cha since before you could talk, we want you! Come in jeans and trainers, in a pretty dress with killer heels or in a full-body w

etsuit and flippers (not particularly recommended): we don't care. The aim is to learn some dancing, while having fun and meeting new people. It's not that hard, so come along and give it a go!

Time for our Annual General Meeting 🗳️

At the AGM, we will present end-of-year reports, discuss any constitutional amendments, and elect the new 2026/2027 committee.

To apply for an executive position (President, Secretary, Treasurer), you must be a matriculated student at the University of Edinburgh. However, any society member can be part of the committee in other roles, including Head of Attire, Social Secretary and Webmaster.

Here it is! Term 2 schedule of the 2025/26 dancing season 💃🏻🕺🏻
Starting w/b 19th Jan

✨ This term we have practice sessions every day of the week! ✨
That includes our Friday short practice session (17:00–17:45) in Chaplaincy, Potterow.

This term we have two Beginners-level groups:
- Beginners – for those who are completely new and starting with us this term
-Continuing Beginners – for members who joined us in Term 1 and are continuing their journey
You’re welcome to join either or even both classes.

As always, there may be a few adjustments to practice times and locations during the term, so please keep an eye on our website calendar and newsletter for the latest updates.
