Watsonians Women’s Rugby

Watsonians Women’s Rugby Watsonians are a Women's Rugby Union team based in the heart of Edinburgh Games are played on Sundays at 2pm.

Training is held twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays at Craiglockhart pitches (just off Colinton Road) and runs from 6.45pm - 8.15pm. We are always recruiting and anybody is welcome to come along. All abilities are welcome, even if you've never played before and feel like trying something new. If you are interested in joining us, please drop us a message on our page or email info@watson

In Memory of Stewart Robertson

Watsonian Football Club is deeply saddened to share the passing of club stalwart Stewart Robertson on August 13 at the age of 85.

Since 1991, Stewart filled countless roles; from Team Attendant, Team Secretary, Kit Manager to House Convener. Notably, he played a vital role in establishing and supporting our Women’s section. Present from their very first match, he took huge pride in seeing them grow into one of Scotland’s top teams, celebrating alongside them for their 2019 Sarah Beaney Cup and Premiership victories. Stewart went on to become a supporter for every cup final since then, for which we cannot thank him and his family enough.

A legendary presence and friend to many across Watsonian Rugby, Stewart will be dearly missed.

Our thoughts are with his wife Anne, son Blair, daughter Lindsay, and his wider family.

Funeral details will be shared once confirmed.
