5km Blast Running - Summer Sundowner Series

I didn't think by 01 July I would have collected 5 bibs but here we are. Pretty chuffed to travel to be heading into the right direction!

Dechmont Law Trail Race 6.5km

I wish I would have felt as strong during the race as I felt in the finish line picture.

One shot is not always the reality - I struggled to find a rhythm and could feel it right from the start.

This is when 5km can start to feel incredibly long.

After all, it's Medal Monday. A medal I had to work extra hard for.

15th overall 🙏🏼

Thanks to Lothian Running Club who put once again a brilliant event together and will be forever my first running club I've been part of. 💙

No next race lined up. But definitely keeping my eyes open for the next opportunity - let me know of a race I can't miss!

I haven’t raced a road 10K in nearly three years.

Not because I couldn’t.

But because I stopped enjoying it.

Every race started to feel like I had to prove something - be faster, fitter, better than before.

And honestly, I lost the spark.

This Sunday, I’m trying again.

Less pressure.
More curiosity.

Sometimes running isn’t about proving yourself.
Sometimes it’s just about coming back.

Fife Coastal Path: Aberdour → Kirkcaldy

Besties reunited for the weekend, means it is adventure time!

Fuelled by at the start. Did we have a food stop before we even started, absolutely yes!

Next stop - sold out of their raspberry doughnuts by the time we showed up. But the ladies were fab and created us a new product. Brioche with raspberry jam and a cheeky coffee on the high street.

water & snacks to see us through until we got to Kirkcaldy.

was perfectly on time to bring us back to our starting point + car.

Six hours outside and enjoyed every minute of it.

A few people asked if I am still coaching after starting my new role in April.

Short answer: yes 🤍
And I am incredibly grateful that a lot of my clients decided to continue the journey with me through online coaching.

The last few weeks have been about rebuilding routines, balancing priorities and finding my feet again.

And honestly, it reminded me that fitness doesn’t need to look 'all or nothing' to matter.

I’m still coaching.
Still running.
Still learning.

Just entering a slightly different chapter.

Training is no longer 'part of the job' every day — it’s become the thing that keeps me grounded again.

And maybe that makes me an even better coach.

Excited to share more of the journey along the way.
