Caledonia Albion

Caledonia Albion Caledonia Albion is the project of sports coach Tao MacLeod. This page is aimed at promoting Tao MacLeod as a professional sports coach and writer.

The purpose of this company is to promote a healthy active lifestyle among children, young people and adults through sport. We promote physical activity through the delivery of exercise by putting on appropriate sessions and classes, that both progress the player by age, ability, confidence and interest, and providing enjoyable experiences. We look to allow as many people as possible to take part

in hockey, making the sport as easily accessible as football is today. Hockey shouldn’t be a sport just for those who can afford to play it, but for everyone from all walks of life. The company’s activities provide benefit to people who enjoy sport and/or those who see fit to increase their participation levels, try something new, or to get back into hockey after an absence. We aim to provide communities access to consistent coaching and the ability to participate, train to improve and/or compete in a variety of hockey related activities. The increasing of hockey participation in schools, out of schools and communities will allow for the improvement of cognitive skills/hand-eye coordination, health and fitness, all round athleticism and improving social skills. Sport can be a great vehicle for providing young participants valuable life skills, such as teamwork, communication hard work and focusing on improvements, which we will look to develop. The company seeks to provide a series of programs which addresses the need for extracurricular, and out of school activities, which promote healthy lifestyles.

As football fans gear up for the FIFA World Cup, the Half Court Press shares our view of how the governing body has handles its iconic tournament. Originally published in December 2024, Tao MacLeod wrote about the Debasement of the World Cup.

It has prompted a move away from a community based game and towards a more business conglomerate style of entertainment, similar to what we can see from the music and film industries…”
