🏌️ Open to Visitors! The Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course set the heart of Edinburgh. The Merchants offers panoramic views over Edinburgh, The Lothians and Fife and provides a challenging yet fun course for experienced golfers to those new to the game. Originally designed by Ben Sayers in 1907 and altered by James Braid in 1936, The Merchants is a community of passionate local golfers and includes a professional golf shop, a fully licensed bar and a dedicated club restaurant. Visitors are welcome to play our challenging course, enjoy a meal in our restaurant or simply have a drink on our bar veranda.

There is no Thursday Supper Club this evening, but it will be back as normal next week! 🍽️

Our clubhouse is still open as usual if you are popping in for drinks or a bite to eat. Stop by to catch the great views across Edinburgh over a drink or two this weekend.

The Merchants Ladies Open is coming up on Thursday 17th September 2026! ⛳️✨

If you have been meaning to visit us or just fancy a round with friends, it promises to be a brilliant day on our James Braid layout. We still have a few tee times up for grabs, particularly early in the morning and around lunchtime.
