🌟CLIENT TESTIMONIAL 🌟

Aray began working with me as a total beginner in the gym - she wanted to get some guidance on exercise form and using the equipment, as well as feeling more comfortable in the gym. We began where she felt most comfortable, using mostly machines and slowly adding more free weight exercises in. By her last session she was confidently squatting, deadlifting and benching with great form, and has a great overall knowledge of weight training to take with her for the rest of her fitness journey.

Aray, it was amazing to coach you and watch you grow and push yourself out of your comfort zone. The change in you in the few months that we worked together was phenomenal, and seeing you still smashing it in the gym now is amazing - one very proud PT ā˜ŗļø

Have a lil swipe to read Aray’s experience in her own words

It’s the first Monday of January, everyone has recovered from their hangovers (just about) and today is the day to officially start your New Years resolutions, so a lot of people will be starting their fitness journey today.
If you are one of these people, I’m proud of you. The decision to make health and fitness a priority is possibly the best decision you will ever make, and prioritising yourself and your health is something that you will never regret.

With that in mind, here are some of my best pieces of advice if you are starting your fitness journey today :

- Don’t be worried about knowing everything straight away. For a lot of people the gym can feel like an intimidating place because it seems like everybody knows exactly what they’re doing - I can promise you that’s not the case! I have been a qualified PT for 2 years and I’m still learning new things now! Take some time to get used to the gym environment, be patient with yourself and learn as you go.

- Be realistic with yourself and what you can change. The whole ā€˜new year, new me’ idea takes everyone by storm at New Year, but is changing your entire diet and lifestyle straight away really sustainable for you? Consistency is what brings results, but if you are trying to change too much at once and putting too much pressure on yourself there’s a high chance you will get overwhelmed and give up. Start with small changes that can fit into your current lifestyle, do these consistently and keep building from there.

- Enjoy the process! Changes don’t happen overnight, it takes time, so you want to enjoy the journey along the way! Don’t force yourself to do an hour on the treadmill if you hate it, go for a long walk instead or take a class. If cutting out your favourite foods will make you miserable, find a way to work it into your plan and still reach your calorie goal. Eat foods you like, move your body in a way that you enjoy and you’ll be able to sustain these changes because you actually enjoy them!

Good luck on starting your fitness journey today! I hope this advice helped, if you have any questions please feel free to leave them in the comments or give me a message, I’m happy to help!

As 2021 draws to a close, like most people I am reflecting on the year gone. An unexpected year of growth and positivity while the rest of the world is full of uncertainty.

If you told me in January that I would be where I am now I would have laughed- this year really exceeded my expectations. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but I never expected my business to take off the way that it did. Growth that I never saw coming, but I couldn’t be more grateful for. Every time I have a bad day I remind myself how lucky I am to get to help people for a living, and how grateful I am to be able to do the job I love every day.

So I want to say a massive thank you to all of my clients - past and present - for choosing me to be your trainer this year, for supporting me and my business and allowing me to do what I love everyday - it’s helped me more than you will ever know.

Onwards to 2022 - y’all ain’t even ready for what I’ve got planned šŸ˜‰

Hey... it’s been a while!

Apologies for disappearing but I decided to take a complete hiatus for a little while to put my mental heath first. Although lockdown was obviously a very difficult time for everyone, it was good to slow down, take time for myself and plan my next steps for me and my business. The world can move so quickly nowadays that sometimes you just get caught up in the drift and can’t seem to slow down and reflect. As we move into this ā€˜new normal’ I’m excited to move forward, refreshed and reset.
Let’s see if we can make the end of 2020 a bit less s**t than the rest of it eh?

A BIT ABOUT ME:

I have always been active from a young age, and my fitness background started with gymnastics and moved into dance. I have been dancing for 12 years and have 3 years of professional dance training. However, I moved into weight training just to keep myself fit and loved how strong it made me feel - physically and mentally.

I decided to become a Personal Trainer because I want to help others in the same way that fitness helped me - to become stronger, more confident and to keep growing into the best version of myself. As someone who struggled with self confidence issues for a long time I know how much a healthy lifestyle really can change your whole mindset, and I want to help others to do the same.

My dance experience gives me a great understanding of how the body works and moves, and I carry this into my training approaches to keep each session interesting and fun. Between dance and gymnastics, I have been stretching for most of my life, so if being able to touch your toes is your goal then I’m your girl!
