Family first, always—but that doesn’t mean you have to come last.

As dads, it’s easy to put off your own goals, especially when the short winter nights and busy days make everything feel harder. But here’s the truth: waiting until January won’t make it any easier. What will? Finding a coach who actually understands what it’s like to be in your shoes.

Choosing a 20-something trainer, who’s barely out their high chair to help you as a busy professional and dad is like getting parenting advice from someone who’s never had kids—they don’t get it! The juggle of work, family, and trying to stay healthy.

Life has been a whirlwind lately. At 34, I’m proud to say earlier this year I bought our family’s forever home 🏡—a huge milestone for me as a dad and a personal trainer.

Between building Forsyth Fitness 💪, chasing my goals, and making this dream a reality for my family, I’ve been all in.

But here’s the thing: in focusing so much on the business and the house, I let my own fitness routine slip. I’m not ashamed to admit it because it’s a reminder that even personal trainers are human too.

We juggle priorities, face challenges, and sometimes lose sight of the balance we teach others to aim for.

This is my wake-up call to start prioritising *me* again. Because when I take care of myself, I can give my best to my family, my clients, and this next chapter of life.

If you’re out there feeling like you’ve been putting yourself on the back burner, know you’re not alone. Let’s get back on track together. Here’s to rebuilding, recharging, and refocusing. 🏋️‍♂️✨
